I was in High School around this time and Delpiero was considered in the same category as Zidane and Ronaldo. Easily one of the best players not to win a Balon d'or. What a generation of players....late 90s into early 00s. Lucky to have seen them!

che classe, che ricordi.. che grande giocatore... quel gol al delle alpi contro l'inter l'ho visto nel settore ospiti, con i tifosi interisti, non riuscivo a trattenere l'esultanza ... dal 94 al 98 è stato con ronaldo nazario il più forte al mondo. sicuramente il giocatore europeo più forte di quegli anni. quelle mitiche pubblicità dell'adidas... l'uomo immagine era lui ventenne , prima di zidane e di messi (2006)

Del Piero got Injuried at Final UCL 1998 who was effect his perform at WC 1998 and started of season 1998/99... after 2 years struggling, he was back in form in 2001/02 - 2002/03 season.. strong, and fast as before...
