千里澄江如练 ， 练是白布的意思，意思是江水平静的像一匹白色的丝绢。 而不是锁链。 练是绞丝旁，链是金属做的，所以是金字旁。所以翻译成chain 是不对的。

I went to their concert last month, theme was Tang Dynasty, so this piece was not included. All I can say is the stage design was so beautiful that instandly brought me to 3000 years ago once the it was lighted up. I almost cried by its beauty. The music was nice and beautiful as always.

I really love the song/music. The melody sounds sad, so touching. It gives listerners the feeling of mourning and lamentation. When I translate and know the meaning of this poem, I almost cry with this music playing in the background. The poem was written by Wang Anshi(王安石 1021 - 1086) , a statesman and writer in the Song Dynasty. The words express the author's concern for the country's major political events and worry about the government at that time through the praise of the scenery of Jinling (now Nanjing, Jiangsu Province) and the lamentation of the rise and fall of history.

虽然这首曲背景为宋，可让我想起了一篇来自葡萄牙的第一位传教士到明朝后写的一篇文章，书名《详细记述中国事物以及其特点》加斯帕·达·克路士上修·1569年(大明隆庆三年)： 前言：中国人称自己的国家做Tame(大明)，称自己做Tamgin(大明人)，摘取第六章生活最久最熟悉的城市大致内容： 广州城比不上其他城市，特别是房屋的观感比其他地方要差很多，广州城城墙号称有1800多年历史，但是看上去几乎是新的没有一点裂口外表看上去像是磁瓦砖，可能是有专门保护负责城墙的官员，对城墙预算永远充足，这就是各个城市得以妥善维护的原因，广州城墙依城河而建，周长有12350步，城墙12步，83座高台。。。。 墙内街道比值整齐，街道铺设得非常修整，大街上有横跨类似拱门得建筑，高大而精良显得非常气派，房屋街道是一排接着一排的商铺，售卖着各种商品。官员府邸处十分的豪华，正面有像城门一样精心铸造的大门，门口有肢体雄壮的两位将军画像。普通人的房屋外表一般，但是屋内非常惊艳，屋内白得跟牛奶一样，地上铺有红色或黑色石板，木材是最上等的楝木，构造精美，连接的非常适当，房顶都有优质的瓦片，比葡萄牙的质量要好很多，铺设好后可以很多年不用修缮。城中绝大多数都是平房，中央是一座高塔佛寺，城里还有唐代阿拉伯人修建的伊斯兰清真寺。城外郊区也很大，居民众多，广州应该比里斯本小一些，但房屋显然要比里斯本好得多，人也稠密，进出城门很是费劲。广州城每天猪肉每天要杀五六千头，鸭子1.1万只，还有到处的牛肉和鱼肉，由此可见广州人的生活水平与里斯本差不多。 有意思的是，中国人普通服装是长袍，袍在胸口上弯折然后系于一侧，一般都有长袖，有钱人一般穿丝绸袍，普通人穿白布袍，官员则是节日穿红色丝袍，只有他们才有资格穿红色，中国人普遍带着一顶极为精致的黑色高帽，脚穿编织很精良的长袜，平时穿靴子，男人的头发跟女人一样长，刷里的很干净，每天都疏，他们将头发捋在头顶然后拿一根细长的银针穿过发堆，中国人对头发有一种迷信，因此他们头发都留着非常的长，好像认为可以通过这种方式上天堂，而中国的传教士就不一样，他们剃光头，因为他们无需通过留发获得神的眷顾。但是我也有时候见过留着长发的教士，一般这些留着长发的教士更受中国人尊敬(这里应该指的是道教)，平时穿着黑色的长袍。中国人非常讲究礼节，一般的礼节是右手握紧包在左手手心，在胸前不断的上下移动，以表示行李双方互相包容，行李的同时一般问：食饭未曾。因为中国人觉得食饭是幸福的源泉，如果有客人来家，主人公都会呈上一碗cha的热水，装在瓷杯，剩在盘子上，这种热水药未很浓，颜色为红，中国人经常喝。 以上是摘取大致内容，还有很多细节各位有兴趣的话去查阅资料。这里从外国人的视角让我们得以了解了大汉民族真是的生活，感慨万千，清朝400年间虽然也有鼎盛时期，可对大明历史的抹黑和遗忘做得太彻底了，以致我们汉族丢失了如此多的文化，可悲可叹。幸运的是，如今能看到越来越多如的这些优质的创造者们，能拾起传统再铸辉煌！华夏文明复习有望！加油~

At 2:04 This zither instrument Erhu is played by an elderly Chinese man in front of our National Gallery in Melbourne at some times. I use to sit somewhere near him and listen. It’s such a soulful instrument, produces longing inside, and sadness at the same time for eternal peace, which is untenable on Earth. But all the ancient Chinese instruments can produce these longing sounds, penetrate the core of the being. It feels so good, and peaceful even only for a short while.❤️🦘🦘🦘

@@floracioon I really do. I visited China for 4 extended trips when seeing my Chinese ex's family and friends. Loved everyone I met, the culture, food, landscapes, cities and villages. Sadly she and I parted but KZbin lets me enjoy some aspects, not least music ❤️😊

@@floracioon i don't think there's any way to communicate directly without giving personal details which is unwise. However I love how the Studio depict the past dynasties with artistic flair and a mix of traditional and modern musical arrangements. To see a live concert would be incredible. Your knowledge would far surpass mine, you would provide amazing insights. For now I must be content with my favourite channels on here.

I love the beautiful pace and rhythm of this piece of music. If it were a classical European master it would likely be romping along much faster, but the wandering melody here has such perfect tension with a restraint , played almost what sound as slowly as possible without dissintegrating the musicians. Really like a river, powerful in it's continuity and it's extent. Such a pleasure to experience. Thankyou.
