Great video, love the comprehensive demo. I have a question: How fast does this pan left and right? If I’m looking for a motorized mount to connect a camcorder to and film a soccer game from some bleachers, do you think it could track back and forth with the remote to keep up with the movement of the ball?
@GarryPurcell10 ай бұрын
In theory, you should be able to follow the action using the remote control. However: I think you would be disappointed with the pan jitter you will get in your final video. I would suggest a tripod with a smooth fluid head would be the way to go for action sports.

As you say, considering the price and what it does, it may not be some $1000 romte head unit, but its good value, for non pro types use. its mostly a winner it seems. Gonna get one for my Nikon P1000. at 1415g weight ,,,for long shots and or 4K vid, it going to be away better than hand movments at 3000mm even with the odd little bump here and there...

thanks for the review. the jitter is noticeable in another reviewer however if you could test it with less weight camera like gopro or phone with internal image stabilization then perhaps it can be worked out. but the play in both motor heads isa big concern. most probably they have a cog with teeth rather belt drive. or perhaps software issue. did you get any software update in anyway ? also they say there is a stutter cable attachment. i couldn’t understand where is that and for what used. if you could explore it.
@GarryPurcell10 ай бұрын
1. The Zifon YT-2000 is designed for cameras up to 2kg in weight, and my Sony camera weighs 1.095kg. so well under the maximum for this device. 2. No software updates available. 3. The shutter button cable is not supplied, you have to purchase one for the camera you're using. (The cable release is to control the camera shutter button on the camera itself)

There's not a lot of noise when it moves, and none when its stationary.. You can adjust the pan and tilt speed to suit your needs. P.S. This particular model can hold up to 2kg cameras, so it might be a bit of an overkill for a small logitech webcam. They do make a smaller version, which is less expensive.

I agree, it would have been nice if tilt was also available in the Zifon Auto tracking. There are a few gimbals on the market that support larger cameras, and they have both tilt and pan AI tracking. One of the newer gimbals is the Hohem M2. Be sure to read positive and negative reviews, before purchasing any gimbal. P.S. I own a Hohem iSteady M6 for smartphones. It has a separate AI module, plus internal mobile phone tracking, works nicely. (There are quite a few people having issues with this gimbal {error 03 plus overheating}, they don't understand that a gimbal must be manually balanced, before turning on)
