Zig Zag Braid Hairstyle for Kids | How to do Kid's Hair

Hey GlamFam! In this video I show You how I did this fairly simple yet eye catching style on my oldest daughter, Alexzandria! So, if you have been wondering how to do zig zag braids, this video may help! I absolutely LOVE your work. I’m new to your channel and I can’t wait to try out your styles on my daughter. The question I have however is what is your trick to have your daughter so quiet and receptive to having her hair done. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong my daughter screams and cries at the simple mention of having her hair done. Although we push through combing my daughter’s thick mid back length hair is torture for both of us. Please let me know how I can make the process less stressful for both of us.

I find it difficult to braid their natural hair because one is too curly and tangles easily. The other has really, really thick hair. So far, from all of your videos I've seen of you styling Zander's hair, it looks like you always blow dry first. Do you recommend blow drying before braiding?

The blow dryer is typically better than that new hot brush, as far as damage. As the blow dryer is indirect heat, and the brush is direct heat. Ideally, I would blow dry on low and do it more seldom, rather than more frequently.

I’m mesmerized by your braiding capabilities. Around the 9:00 area I’m was thinking... is this on high speed. Then how you can drop the braid to de-tangle then quickly and fluidly pick up where you left off... wow.
