Previously I owned a r15 s and after its purchase got introduced to touring and its a great bike in every aspect, even the riding position was nothing to complain for the most part (my perspective)... BUT that suspension... OMG! it's so hard and it's the character of that bike. .... And now got BMW g310gs and just completed a 1300km ride and I enjoyed every bit... Especially on the bad roads... Beautiful suspension yet with stability

In the long run, I say BMW is the most effective one. Being a RE owner, it’s one hell of a job to keep the bike going smooth all the time. Every month it’ll have one or the other issue. BMW for the ones who care about peace of mind, himalayan for the ones who love to take tension and risk, ktm 250 is for the one who has no brain.

Good stuff. And humorous! :) 1) This video covers offroading, or as Mr Singhi says in another video, rough roading, for 99% of the populationI In that sense, the BMW does provide a more premium riding experience. Also, the updated colors and reduced price have made it even better. 2) Surprising to see that the problems in the earlier Himalayans have been overcome and its as smooth (if not more) at 100 kmph! I would rather save the 80K premium, and spend ~50K on world class touring accessories for the Himalayan, and the remaining on petrol to tour India. 3) Also, if the future holds a Himalayan on the 650 cc parallel twin platform, it would decimate them all!

I guess this is the reason why Mahindra Mojo (which for some strange reason automobile media mags / bike reviewers have always ignored) is "THE BEST ADV-TOURER" you can buy in India. Just think about these points about Mojo > Far superior built quality (Less plastic & also it wont rust and evaporate into thin air) > Relaxed ergonomics for super comfortable long distance touring (Rider triangle is spot on and even the pillion comfort is much better than any of the bikes showcased here) > 21 litre fuel tank > Wide & raised handle bar, easy to saddle over muddy trails/off-road > Gem of an engine with adequate power & torque, Liquid cooled, fully adjustable rear suspension, slick 6 speed gear box > Brilliant brakes, especially the front disk has amazing bite & stopping power > VFM even with the BS6 avatar (approx 2.55L onroad) > Easy on the pocket service & maintainence cost I hope these points help you all to make the right decision on your Adv- Tourer. Happy Riding!
