Your playing is always inspiring to watch nick, not only bang on time, heavy groove and tasty fills. You play the drums so melodically, adding so much colour to every boring cymbal/drum demo. 😊👍🏻great job man

Nick, You are an amazing drummer. I love watching your videos/demos of all the great products at Sweetwater. I live in Oklahoma City, OK, and I plan on making a trip to Fort Wayne later this year and spend the day at Sweetwater. It would be an honor to meet you. I am so glad the world has the opportunity to see and hear your amazing talent via KZbin. Keep up the great work, and keep those vides/demos coming.

Does the 18 in crash put out enough volume for live rock?
@sweetwater3 жыл бұрын
Hello, C Drummys! Good question. To some degree, it depends on how loud the guitar players are in your band and the size of the venue. For most gigs, this crash is plenty loud, but you may need to use overhead mics for larger gigs. Thanks for the interest! The other cymbals aren’t really my cup of tea, but that trash china is awesome. Just enough trashiness that i’m looking for in a secondary china.

They're so dry I got thirsty. The Meinl Sand series sound like the happy medium between these and "ordinary" cymbals (AAX og something similar).

When did these dry cymbals become a trend
@R3TR0R4V34 жыл бұрын
Probably about as long as Jazz has been around. I wasn't aware it was a "trend" After all, the ride is your typical, dry, dark sounding ride. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hey, Frankie. These are great cymbals. The dryness of these makes them a little quieter. That would make your pastor really happy. They are fairly trashy, though. I think they’d work well. Jason Thiele, Senior Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1391, jason_thiele@sweetwater.com

Cool cymbals other ten the price they sound like efx ozone’s but double the price
@Drumaier7 жыл бұрын
Special dry line is great but not a whole set of them. The ride and hats are the ones that makes more sense here since they sound controled, the crashes could not exist and nobody would care.
@jacobjones66424 жыл бұрын
I thought the same thing til I got the box set and man, the 16 and 18 have grown on me quite a bit. I have a 19 in trash crash as well

I would give it to metal drummers
@niccolomadrid55126 жыл бұрын
joshua estrada No,actually us metal drummers enjoy bright long decay cymbals or cymbals with an in the middle tone.But I could do well with that pair of hats.
@niccolomadrid55126 жыл бұрын
Basically something that can cut through.But I do own a 19 inch crash from this brand called arborea.It's pretty dry but has longer decay than most dry cymbals and cuts through pretty well.

Not my cup of tea. Too trashy and the decay is way too fast. I would miss the brilliance in the top end in a mix. I could see how having one or two of them in a setup could be cool though. Definitely wouldn't go with a full dry/dark cymbal setup imo.

Nick is a great drummer but they needed a jazz guy to demo these. Also dry cymbals are pretty jarring when they are bare. They need to be accompanying something.
