I guess it's probable that the inspiration for this rendition might be from the vibes you mentioned earlier but I don't think it's Afro from Nigeria. This song has been played in various renditions by the song writer, Larnerll Lewis. Let give him that acknowledgement as well. Great post Bro. 🤝

What Larnell was playing on the Yamaha DTX Multi, was it a sequence triggered inside the Yamaha muti or it was done using a DAW? I'm curious about that.. I have an old Roland TD-6 and you can have a sequence in the module and use a pad to trigger each note of the sequence everytime you hit the pad, which is clearly what he was doing.
