Wonderful video, episode 1 was superb and this one definitely is as good if not better 👍. Hwange is such a special place and you captured it beautifully. Great tips on culling though I can never get down to just 10% 😀😉.

Excellent suggestions for choosing your best pictures. Maybe a video on 3 or 4 criteria’s for making those choices. Love the images. Thanks for sharing.

Karolina such wonderful photo's and video's. How do you determine your shutterspeed and Iso. I struggle with that. . How do you eliminate your photo's in lightroom, once you have chosen the ones you want to edit.
@karolinanoreewild4 ай бұрын
Hi there! Thanks very much! With regards to settings, I shoot on manual with auto ISO, which means I only need to seet my aperture (most of the time this will be as low as possible) and my shutter speed. My camera will then decide my ISO for me to ensure a even exposure. For the shutter speeds, I look at the light available and the movement of the animal. Usually anything above 1/1250 sec is fast enough, but when light is low you'll have to compromise with slower shutter speeds. I can also recommend shooting on aperture priority to start with, then you only have to worry about you ISO, which you bring down when in good light and up in low light or when you feel the shutter speed is too slow. You can learn more about this in my e-book about wildlife photography, which you can find on my website karolinanoree.com. Hope that helps!

Great video thank you for sharing. I'd love to see the settings for the images you share in particular the elephant image in the dust cloud, did you under expose that one to help emphasis the backlighting?

Great video! I have trouble with figuring out how I want to compose an animal. I may want a portrait or open environment shot, and those are easy, but when showing partial body I have a hard time knowing just how much body. Thanks for letting me tag along!
@karolinanoreewild4 ай бұрын
@@joncothranphotography9375 thanks very much! My advice to that is to “cut” the photo through limbs not joints. It’s the same with human portraits; you never want to cut through shoulders or elbows, rather in between them through the arm. Hope that makes sense!

I noticed all your images are with the wonderful 300 GM lens. Did you take wider angle as well, or concentrate using just the one lens?
@karolinanoreewild4 ай бұрын
@@Jonathantuba yes exactly, mostly shot with the 300mm, but also had 70-200mm and 24-70 with me, but didn’t end up using them much really
