@@mehallica666 England/Britannia was colonised.. says the worlds biggest coloniser that spread it's language effectively and have it's colonies established on stolen lands in North America and Oceania using English as their Defacto language and forcibly assimilating everybody to their ethnocentric British identities and culture, committing Ethnocide/Cultural Genocide to this day, claiming to be the victim now while not only does it still practise Colonialism together with it's Colonies and the United States it's legacy, but still has the nerve to talk about being colonised by another people while having it's own sit on lands in "countries" created by it like Canada, United States, Australia and New Zealand that actually belong to someone else as much as England/Britannia belongs to the Anglo-Saxon/Celtic people the same way Australia actually belongs to the Aboriginal people and New Zealand the Māori people.. they are living under the same apartheid conditions that you consider yourself to be under.. return their lands first before complaining about being colonised and having your land stolen by non-Native peoples.. Zimbax, as a Brazilian, some people here don't really understand the Estonian perspective or have a watered-down perspective on Soviet repression and lack of Human rights, especially, some left-wing Brazilians, yet, there are a few of us (lefties) over here who see Soviet repression as it was. 3:03 I'm very sorry you're family went through that. It must of been ruff. I know Estonia can get pretty cold but Siberia, on a whole other level. My family is from Ohio, which is a state where it's hot in the summer but extremely cold in the winter. (Mainly to unblocked arctic fronts from the Northern Canada and the lake weather from Lake Erie.) But that's like my great grandparents. (Some of them are still alive. The oldest is 91 years old.) Being sent to Alaska in dead of winter which is like Siberia. But knowing communist regimes, the conditions were way worse. I can't even believe stuff was okay like that back then let alone today. I'm very sorry about that, I really hope they managed to get out of that. And the reason why probably was a minor reason.

Gay marriage in Israel is funny in that it's legal in all but name: you can get literally all the benefits of marriage as a gay couple, but it just isn't called marriage. Has to do with still basically having Ottoman marriage law while updating to today.

7:49 gay marriage, in Israel it’s a bit weird, the country recognise religious marriages (Muslims get a Muslim wedding, Jews a Jewish, Druz get according the Druz religious laws and Christians a Christian) but gay marriage is different, Israel recognise it if they were married outside Israel. Yeah it’s weird 😅

When were Communist symbols ever banned in the US? In which state? We gave them legal trouble, all right, but we have our First Amendment. They ran presidential candidates in 1924, 1936, 1940 and 1968. In 1972, 1976, 1980 and 1984, their man was Gus Hall (né Hålberg), of Finnish descent. He was on the ballot in 29 states in 1980. With his party's symbol.

To answer the question about Thailand. It wasn't colonized because of the skillful diplomacy of Kings Mongkut and Chulalongkorn in the mid to late 19th century when it was called Sima. They did give up some territory to Britain that was incorporated into Burma and Laos and Cambodia were taken over by France. But the country avoided becoming a colony.

The Euro € was about to become the currency of oil by the arab countries.But interventions of the USA prevented this.
@ffloschАй бұрын
When I was last year in Montenegro, a guide told me that their past currency was very unstable and they wanted to seek for a solution. They did find a solution with tourism increasing drastically in the Balkan region and so, as well Montenegro and Kosovo. The rest of Europe started to visit/discover the region, mostly after the (complete) collapse of Yugoslavia. Tourism helped the countries with getting a stable currency as mostly Germans started 'supporting' the locals and thus the Euro started to circulate in the Montengrin and Kosovan economy. Like he said, both didn't ask for permission to utilize the currency. Although, especially Montenegro has plans to join the EU and so this issue might be resolved as they can then legally and officially declare the Euro as their currency. If I am wrong about anything, lemme know. :) Have a nice day.

1:01 Regarding fertility rates, there is a bit of controversy going on in India. Although the general fertility rates have declined in general, Hindu right wing groups have always raised alarm about the fact that fertility rates of Muslims continues to remain higher than that of other religious groups (including Hindus) & so many of them want to push back against the decline of fertility rates among Hindus. Change in religious demographics (caused by Muslims) has always been an issue in Hindu right wing politics, which has aided by the delay in national census (meant to be released by 2021) due to COVID-19.

I love this channel and I find your voice really calming, but as a gay person… are all the “places where being gay is illegal” clickbait thumbnails and “Gay marriage legality - agree = like, disagree = comment” really necessary? I completely understand that it does draw peoples attention to your videos, but these are peoples lives you’re using for clickbait. People get killed for loving someone of the same gender every day in a lot of these countries, something they cannot control. Do you really need to use their - our - suffering to your advantage for views? I hope you don’t interpret this as a hate comment, because I am genuinely a fan. I respect you educating people about the world and your service in the Estonian army, but I think the gay stuff is largely inconsiderate.
