Artsakh tried to get its independence, like many other countries after the collapse of the USSR, but they were denied for 30 years. Eventually, Azerbaijan attacked and killed around 7000, and after that it pressured by 9 months of blockade, and were forcefully pushed out of their homes (more than 100.000 Armenians).

Correction concerning the SADR: 20% of the territory is not controlled by the SARD, but considered as a buffer zone under UN supervision. Morocco technically has indirect control over the region, but nothing is official. I'm a Georgian, so allow me to point out a couple corrections: *4:52* Abkhazia and ''South Ossetia'' (Samachablo) didn't become breakaway regions after the 2008 five days war, they were like that ever since 1991 when the extremely brutal Abkhazian War was fought. 2008 War was simply when Russia recognized them and Georgia lost the final small leverege territories it still had in those disputed territories, such as Upper Kodori in Abkhazia. *5:44* It's not pronounced *Skin'vali,* it's pronounced Ts'Khinvali (With Ts being the Georgian ც noise and Kh being the ხ noise). Good video overall.
