The news about Sam Ash really sucks... unfortunately, it means that a lot of first time buyers might end up going with cheap guitars online. Maybe that's what the GC CEO was talking about when he said he wanted to focus on the high end stuff - where the real estate/physical stores are used more for people to pick out expensive guitars and the mid-market/ lower end stuff gets pushed to online sales...

I own one of these guitars myself They are very light weight and a whole lot of fun to play. They also came in the Les Paul Special II.

Dane, know what the flat edge is for? Its for when you want to round over the fret end to be hemispheric. It's the one swipe on the very corner of both edges and following that will be the two with the round side. It'll be semi hemispheric now. Then you can roll the fretboard edges rosewood or unpainted. My stew mac tip.

Yeah i read about sam ash today,alot of people arent goin into music stores and giving them business,they're giving online sales their money,amazon,temu,musicians friend,american music supply(here in nj) etc,they are getting the business not these chain stores which sucks to be honest,a big named music store closed here in nj called dave phillips after 40 years,went there alot years ago and the last thing i bought was a modeling amp from fender,the mustang v2 20 watt,still have it but i wanted the line 6 amp and they didnt have it in stock,just the floor model so bought the fender instead

i happen to love your guitar shop..... you get some cool stuff along with tons of player grade guitars and tube amps for us old cork sniffers

Tube amps are beautiful. Stock up on tubes. I'm pretty sure Russia makes a bunch of them. And I believe they have the old good American factory equipment. So they make way better tubes than the Chinese ones as you could imagine.

I had one of these!! Like 15 years ago. Shoot. I put it into a trade package or something. Wish I still had it. It was a cool little guitar, and I didn't pay much at all for it. Sweet vid! Sweet memory. I might have to see if I can find one of these babies!

I actually really like that thing. I'm not tall, so it's an Explorer shape that wouldn't look ridiculous on me. Affordable too. Pity I'm on the other side of the world to you.
