Decades are gone (+50 years), the world was still livable, those were the times when you could breath fresh air, I was in the university, while in the road side cafes Rafi, Mukesh & Lata were desired but in the dorms & in sophisticated gathering Talat ruled, a very controlled voice, with impeccable delivery was hallmark of Talat. Talat was not the one some could imitate, he was VERY different. Times changed, the taste of the people change & so is the verdict of time; in today's Bombay Talat, Mukesh, and Rafi will be strangers, wait a minute!!! This may be the truth of our life in makhmali voice of Talatji. I have heard him in live program at a theater at Nadiad, Gujarat. Due to heavy rain ,coming by car from Mumbai, his troup was late for more than 4 hours, but after he arrived, performed untill early morning. Great legend. ( I am 87 years old now.) Any other supporter of this event please ??

Wah wah! What a lyrics and what a voice. Shakeel Badayuni was born to write songs like this and Talat Mahmood was born to sing songs like this. Both are God's gift to humanity. Even though Talat accuses God for inflicting pain and misery in his love life, i am (selfishly) happy that God gave such pain to Talat in the movie, otherwise we would not have got such a wonderful gem of a song! Grateful to Shakeel Badayuni, Gulam Mohammad, Talat Mahmood and the Dil-e-nadaan team that gifted us the fabulous song. And to Mastkalandr for posting the song and lyrics in KZbin.
