10:13 as a kid/teen, i tried to do that literal hundreds of times and i never got it to go off like that. That goal was also the definitive 2-1 in the UEFA Champions League final of 2002. That goal gave them the european title, literally. To this day i'm in AWE when i see him connect that ball with such elegance.

Zidane was brilliant, he may not be all flashy, but to me a player should be valued based on how he can showcase his talent with any team he plays with and achieve trophies, Zidane was Zizo everywhere, he won a world cup by himself in the final vs brazil and took France to another, inspiring a lackluster French side before the tournament. only people who have done similar things are Maradona and Pele, also not to forget euro 2000 winner as well.

Been watching football since the early 90's and Zidane is the best player I've seen, other than Messi. He was such a joy to watch - a tall guy with a deceiving physique: You wouldn't have thought him particularly skillful at first sight, judging by his build. But he was so calm, skilful and alert - what a player.

Zidane defeated the greatest Brazilian team in history all by himself. it was a one man show. that Brazilian team(2006) had Ronaldo 9, Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, ricardo kaka, Cafu, Emerson etc. it was unbelievable of course the 2006 France team had other legendary players, but in that one game, it was all Zidane

In 2006 Ronaldo was fat, Adriano was fat, Ronaldinho's downfall began, Carlos was old, Cafu was old. 2002 Brazilian team was much better as well as 1962 team and 1970 as well. That 1994 team was no joke too with prime Romario, Bebeto, Dunga, Taffarel, Rai... So no, this 2006 team wasn't that good.
