Just discovered your channel. Wouldn't have seen these excellent zines if I hadn't stumbled up your output. Keep up the good work. Subbed.

First of all, if you are working on a zine at the moment, I would love to hear about it. Leave a comment letting us know what its all about, and where you are in the making process!! I am so so excited to bring you guys even more zines you should be checking out, and getting your hands on! These are zines from you guys, people here in the community who are pushing themselves to build projects and get them in peoples hands. I highly highly suggest that you check out the photographers mentioned, and if still available you pick up a copy of these incredible zines for yourself. Also, leave your comments questions and ideas here in the comments section. Love you guys!!

Nick, thanks so much for sharing my zine! Yes, Erwitt is my favourite photographer of all time, period! The layout was also intentional, based on the classic photography books. Great eye! 🍻

Bruno Candeias very good! I do want to say your work stands very well on its own. It’s not a copy by any means. I hope it didn’t come across that way. Keep it up brotha! You’re doing great things.

I made my latest zine with blurb too. I have to say i'm very happy with the quality. There is a magazine option now too. And the paper i like very much... The costs aren't that high if you go through the zine route. :-)

Cris Geelen I don’t have anything against blurb so to speak. The quality is great. And the platform of being able to have very little to no out of pocket expenses at the forefront is great. But the profit margins just aren’t there. Not compared to the local print shops I go through. That’s my only line of critique really.

To answer Nick's Question: Paper for the Zine was Blurb's Standard Trade Paper with a matte finish.
@NickExposed6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing buddy! It seriously turned out beautifully. Great choice with the matte finish

I did the first print test of my zine from montmartre with love on Blurb but i could not get the price as low as after i went for local printer and handbinding. But I have to admit the blurb copy is of another quality in terms of paper and binding. Looks much professional, but almost too much for me :)

Agreed, I would like to find a local place to do volume two, but with all that is going on in my life right now (New Job, New Baby in 12 days and settling into a new house) I may use Blurb again due to the convenience and knowing the quality is there with them.

You need to work on your French Nick haha 😂 I love Jules' zine, especially the more abstract moments in there. It's very atmospheric

Haha my French is nonexistent. I need to start watching some KZbin vids or something lol
