@@TeAmoDre His father Lateef Williamson was a 6-foot-5, 260-pound defensive end who'd played for NC State briefly before academics cost him his scholarship. Despite being the father of Zion Williamson, he left him and his wife Sharonda Sampson when his son was young . Williamson’s stepfather is Lee Anderson, a former basketball player from Columbus State University. He important role in training his stepson in the early stages of his career although Zion's mother was also his first basketball coach. Zion Williamson even credits the hard training that he got from his mother to be the reason behind his being able to play in the NBA . So yes if his biological father hasn't left him; there's a great chance that Zion could have played in the NFL .

As a casual fan to Zion, he is coming off much more professional in this interview than previous appearances. From the outside it kind of seem like he acted like he won everything [with the hype around him] but did nothing. I dont root for or against the Pels, I really just want to see good basketball, and this portrays a better attitude Zion has going in to the season than years previous. I would love to see him take the next step and start to dominate. TBH, I feel like he needs a coach to fire him up and be honest with him about being an all time great vs being good.

I have followed Zion since he was in highschool and in every interview you can tell he isn't a dumb guy who wants to flash guns on ig. He knows what's the problem, he just can't stop eating. It's an addiction at this point and only rehab can fix it. It can be a real struggle. He should really sorround him with people who would check him and say no.

I don't think the loss to the lakers was due to his weight or anything. He played his part and made his shots but the lakers put up good defense on him after the 1st quarter. I don't know if anyone noticed but lebron was visibly frustrated with the lakers defense and the pelicans' second chance points in that first quarter so LeCoach probably happened. It is what it is.

On one hand this shows how smart Zion is - he can answer questions like an expert politician when he wants to. Watch enough of his press conferences, though, and watch his body language as well as hear what he says, and you'll see he's also very wary of & uncomfortable w/ media and overall seems beaten down by all the negativity he's faced. This is a really, really tough point then for helping him turn it around... He probably feels depressed by all this and wants to just go somewhere and eat some great New Orleans feast so he can forget & have some fun.
