NASA Texas Space Grant Consortium (TSGC) Engineering Design Challenge Project and NASA Micro-g NExT Design Challenge.
Lone Star College Team C.E.R.O, 2017 -2018 Zip Tie Cutter Project Semester 2 of 2.
Our team successfully designed and prototyped a zip tie cutter suitable for EVA applications.
We won 1st BEST DESIGN TEAM at the Spring 2018 TSGC showcase. We also successfully tested our prototype at NASA's Neutral Buoyancy Lab (NBL) where NASA trains astronauts with micro-gravity simulated by buoyancy.
CAD was done in SOLIDWORKS.
Team member: Daniel Vasek (Leader), Francesca Liso (Deputy Leader), Maria Gonzalez, Sean Palmer and James Philippi.
Team C.E.R.O. thanks former team members:
Dylan Robbins, DeJuan Miller, Ryan Gomez and Elijah Salandanan!
