It's a 2016 video. The electric scooter market DRASTICALLY changed over that amount of time. For $1000 all of these scooters are terrible and you can get the same or even BETTER value out of $300-500 electric scooters of today.

Dualtron Thunder scooter is one of the best. A bit pricey but definitely not wimpy. Figure the cost of daily drive with your favorite vehicle and or uber Dualtron becomes very attractive. They are very fast and have a good range in battery power before recharging is needed. Ride smart and be respectful to others.

Not very much demand, so harder to mass produce. Also A lot of the price is the battery. The reason these things are just now starting to get popular is Lithium technology is just now becoming relatively affordable. But that's still like $350 for a battery of this size.

Supply demand. As anything new comes out, price drops as it becomes easier to produce, and the desire for overall profit instead of margin per unit is the aim.

Nessim The key is what works for each individual. Compact portability and ease of storage in small spaces may be key for some. Especially those of us in NYC who may need to take it on public transportation and crowded high rise elevators.

OfficialRomeo pfft all the scooter u see in the video are disgusting, not all e scooter are childish. check out Forca E scooter and also EVO E scooter. Those are heavy duty but if you think their too big you can always check out Dualtron. Dual motor and dual suspension.
