I'm on my second pair of Zips in 15 years. They last and last and last. I'm a ski instructor in CO and spend 70-110 days annually in my boots. ZipFits have never ever let me down.

Nice. I’ve only had 2 zipfits since 2004. Nothing compares to a proper zipfit.

What model of ZipFit liner does Giray Dadali ride? I'm looking for an extremely aggressive and stiff setup, maximal heel and ankle hold, and a liner that takes up volume in a 98mm last boot. I currently ride Daleboot Gambits and Head Formula 130 RS LV boots. Would very much appreciate some guidance. Thanks 🙏

I used to high school race in the late 80s and i worked at Mogul Mouse ski shop, where we had these amazing custom cork foot beds! My boss, having been an an Olympic contender, made mine, and we put them into my 1st Generation Tecnica TNT race boots, which were also custom but the shop who did those (Mogul Mouse did not carry a boot brand that worked for me), messed up on the foam because they said my liners being so small made it clog and get too many hot spots so they ended up putting regular liners in and did the best they could w the stock. But I remember the first night trying the boots with those custom cork footbeds, it was NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE for the SPEED IN WHICH THEY REACTED! I loved it! There was no play, at least as far as the footbed, so if i put my foot on edge, it carried right away to the ski! I couldn’t believe it and was forever sold on them! Does anyone know what brand made these or what they were called? I was told recently that it might have been Zip Fit brand, but no one really knows...i wish i did because i really wish to have them again! I remember the top was royal blue and the test was all cork, and mine were made in 1989 or 1990. The way she made them was by putting these cork liners in a oven, then took them out and then put the corks in a plastic bag for me to then stepped onto them with my foot and leg also inside the bag, i think! Then all the air was vacuumed out so the corks could make an exact mold! But i also can’t remember if she did most of the suction work with me seated in the chair, or if i was standing on them. 🤷🏻♀️ But, the way she did it, i could see the outlines of my toes and also the outline of the ball of the foot. Standing on the footbeds inside my boots distributed all my weight SO nicely; it never felt like i had more pressure in any one area (like the arch)! Just nice, even pressure everywhere. So amazing and precise! Fast forward my TNTs finally snapped and my footbeds had gotten kind of gross, so i stupidly tossed it all in the garbage (that was a sad day). And unfortunately, I have never found any good boot or foot bed solution since, and i hate how much my heel slips around….and i also hate woman’s boots and will never buy them again! I buckle my foots down a lot for choppy stuff or more steep terrain - and i get the worst cramps and fatigue in my calves. i think it’s because the woman’s boots are both way to short (I’m 5’9” and narrow boned at 130 lbs but aggressive skier), but also way too soft at a 95 flex - even though it was written up as an “advanced to expert”female skier boot! 🤦🏻♀️ So now ive been trying on and even ordered multiple 24.5 boots. Shops also tried 23.5 but i am an 8 1/2” woman’s shoe already. I feel like 24.5 should be correct but gaps need to be filled in the sides and especially achilles heal and ankle areas. I did just recently get custom footbeds at one of the local stores but i am SO disappointed as well as upset! I called the manager today to let them know - the boot fitter / bed liner guy even erased the entire ball of foot and toe area from the newly molded liners using his finders as an iron repeatedly; making it totally FLAT! 😠 I told him as soon as he began to stroke them down with his fingers to leave those grooves alone, multiple times actually, yet he still insisted. I said my last liners had those and i like them on, but it didn’t matter - he KEPT doing it anyway, even though i said, “please stop” again. The result is they are absolute garbage, and have SO much pressure on the arches! Not happy! Cost a whopping $225 too! I miss my corks my old boss made me! i wish i could remember who made them....WAS IT Zip Fit? I would really love to have the same ones again, and maybe a zip fit liner eventually, but want to start with the footbed for cost reasons, plus the liners on the Nordica Pro Machines im trying have some cork on there already so we will see! I got Nordica Pro Machine LV 130 and Lange RX 100 flex (not sure if it will be too soft?). But does anybody know what brand it could have been? No one seems to know and i cant figure it out from google. It was around in 1989 and 1990. Don’t know how long they were around after that as i went away to college, and already had my nice cork footbeds. Ps im an engineer too , so i really appreciated this particular testimonial! 😉👍🏻

Those were Sven's footbeds, made by ZipFit. We don't currently sell them.

Is it true the first few runs are incredibly uncomfortable till they form fir?
@zipfit96912 жыл бұрын
@choski76 that is not the usual experience. We do tell our customers that ZipFits feel different, as they do. Many skiers have never experienced their feet in the proper position within a ski boot. While stock liners are meant to feel best at first fit and the feel only gets worse from there, ZipFits will continue to refine and form to your foot as you ski in them the first couple of days. From there, they feel better and better. It's the one liner that really gets better with age and use.

That was my experience, in both of my zip’s. 1st couple of days were painful, then they start to get bearable. After a week or so they feel great. Will never, ever ski anything else, been skiing them for 25 years or so. They are by far my most important piece of ski gear, not skis, not boot shells, not bindings. Get them and you will know! Can’t believe how few people know about them.

@@mikecatura6210 Can't wait to get mine! I've tried everything to get decent heel hold, but nothing has really convinced me yet. Looks like these Zipfit liners are what i've been searching for. Would you mind explaining what the fitting process is with these ZipFit liners? Thanks in advance

Griay: Rhere isn’t a boot shell on the market that can support my skiing both inbounds and out. Full Tilt Ascendents have entered the chat.
