Glad you like it as I have just ordered one, and your right not many reviews for any of zippers products. But all the comments about the 204 seem positive.

Hi Andrew. Congrats. You won’t be disappointed. Of course there is a larger one but to be honest with larger than 204 my thickness I will be planning ahead. That’s the only drawback but it’s not the end of the world. I am building a workbench with a flip top to rest it on. Video coming up. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.

@@AlohaCoastJoinery caught your videos last week when I was searching for info on planers and or thicknessers, I've now watched them all and enjoyed them. I only got into woodworking during the lock down and have since got a little carried away.

I'm looking at one of these and I agree there's very little out there in terms of reviews. So many machines seem to be out of stock due to covid. Thanks for posting, it seems like you are happy with it so far.

It's hard to see, but it seems the snipe isn't really bad, is that right? Thanks a lot! I'm interested in it's bigger brother, 254mm, as the 204mm is now nearly as expensive as the 204 in my country.

@@AlohaCoastJoinery did you adjust your outlet feed blade on the jointer I've been getting bows forming on my wood or projects and its not planning them down flat. im planning on doing this apparently the blades are supposed to be higher than the fixed part of the jointer

Received mine today, can I ask you how do I change the planer scale? It’s currently on 0 and it has options of 1 and 2 but I can’t seem to change it? Also did the blades come in the machine straight away or did you have to install them ? Many thanks, Charlie.
@AlohaCoastJoinery
@AlohaCoastJoinery 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Charles, thanks for the question. The blades you receive are spare ones, the unit has blades on it already. The 0, 1, 2 levels for the jointer/planer are changed on the knob found at the end of the jointer table (in the middle). Its hard to explain without visuals. basically you have the horizontal winder (for the thicknesser up and down) and the 0,1,2 gauge is right next to that which makes you think that is the handle to change the jointer table.When turning the jointer knob at the end of the table in the middle, you will see that the near side of the table top will go up and down, the other side doesn't move.Hope this helps. If not, I am filming an unboxing later tonight so let me know and I will show you 'live'.PS - When pushing through wood on the thicknesser you will lead it in with one hand and want to 'catch or guide' it with the other. Be careful as I busted my thumb grabbing the wood which was already pushed out by the thicknesser but got caught between the piece of wood and the handle which lifts and drops the planer table.

@@AlohaCoastJoinery Also I can’t seem to get the thicknesser to work on mine? The instructions leaflet I have doesn’t seem to be any good! Is there a switch to turn the thicknesser on?
@AlohaCoastJoinery
@AlohaCoastJoinery 3 жыл бұрын
@@1ThatChapCharlie well, it’s the same on button as it’s the same blade for both. The handle near the 0,1,2 gauge raises and drops the table. Your workpiece will be ‘thicknessed’ across the top of the piece. (Same blade for thicknesser and planer/jointer)
