The colour is so nice! Glad you rescued it just in time! I felted only one sweater so far. That was pretty sad but it was still wearable and it is now being loved by my friends daughter. So not a complete loss.

I love the color! I'm so happy I paid enough attention to it to be able to save it🙏🏻 Felting sweaters sucks, but it still being wearable is at least a silver lining❤️

Oline, I love your videos. I think you have added another 1000 subscribers. I have been told that one way to increase viewing is to do videos that are things like, top 10 of your favorite baby knits, all your sweater from the last year or two, your mommy, son matching sets, top 10 favorite yarns, how to tutorials, etc. Put your regular podcasts in between these. I want to see you get more subscribers, people are missing a great knitter. And the money might be something.

Thank you for this video Oline, I was always really daunted by the thought of making any garment with a zipper but you showing how you did it really helped. I may even tackle this myself one day. Great video 😊

@@norwegianknitter you are completely right, I'm the same, I put off doing things and then it turns out not to be as bad as I had feared. Thanks for your inspiration. X

I'm working on a crocheted mockneck sweater, it's sage green and navy blue striped, smaller blue stripes and larger green stripes, it's 3 panels and the sleeves so not too hard, it's progressing pretty fast, I started last night and I already got one panel finished, also your son is growing up too fast!! I still remember when he was a little baby lol

Ooo, that sounds like a fun sweater! Right? I blinked, and he grew from a small toddler to a child🤯

What a lovely snug zipper sweater! I am kind of intimidated by the zipper, maybe later….

It turned out so good, even though it felted a bit. I believe you can do the zipper install! It looks harder than it is!

Beautiful sweater and beautiful Vlog. And you are getting snow! Your outdoor scenery is always so beautiful - do you mind if I ask what region of Norway you live in? I could see no signs of felting in your sweater, even up close, and the fabric looks just lovely! Ove the color too. I am just finishing up a sweater I knit using Ann Budd’s Handy Book of Top Down Sweaters, and for yarn I used Drops Baby Merino and Drops Alpaca silk held together. I’m eager to see how it looks after washing and blocking. Hope you and your family a great week!

Thank you! We are getting snow😅 I'm glad it's still melting away, though. The winter is long enough as it is🙈 I live quite close to a place called Røros, I always find it so hard to explain where😅 I think me swooping in and cutting the wash short saved the sweater! I live the color too! I think I think more green in my wardrobe! It sounds like a wonderful sweater❤️ I hope it'll be perfect after blocking! Have a great week!

Hei Oline 🌞 Your Zipper is great, beautiful color👍 I have the same experience with drops Nepal, but I didn't wash in maschine my Esther cardigan, but only spin. And it felted a little bit, but I think that 's ok, because I will use this jacket outside. Thank you 😊
@norwegianknitter17 күн бұрын
Hei! Thank you so much! I think a tiny bit of felting is ok as long as it doesn't change the fit! And it will be a great jacket for outdoors🥰

It looks lovely on you. I appreciate you saying the effect of washing in the machine because this is wear I wash all my wool too. Do you find there is pilling with this yarn? I would like to knit something for my dad but I don't want it to be hard for him to take care of.
@norwegianknitter9 күн бұрын
Thank you! If you're looking for low effort, I don't think drops daisy is the yarn. If needs handwashing, and even though mine felted it still pills like crazy😢
