I love the week of knitting you have had! I enjoy all of your weeks of knitting, but this one is particularly special, with all of the beautiful flowers and little boys’ sweaters you are knitting for your wedding, and the adorable little lamb. There is so much love and thought you put into your knits and it warms my heart every time. Enjoyed seeing all of your new yarn and it will be fun to see more sheep creations! ❤❤

There will definitely be more sheep creations going forward! I'm woken each morning with questions for when we will make the next one😅❤️

Have you considered adding any real flowers to your bouquet? Something to fill it in and reduce the number of wires to deal with. Baby’s breath flowers perhaps. Do you have them in Norway? They stay fresh for a very long time as well and are inexpensive, so if you don’t like the look, it is not a big deal. Love your videos! I did a beagle dog for my daughter once. It was ok, but never again. 80 pages of instructions…
@norwegianknitterКүн бұрын
I haven't really considered it. February is still the middle of winter here, so flowers are not super accessible. I also worry that the flowers would wilt very fast in -20°C weather? Thank you! Knit animals are cute, but not 80 pages worth of cute😅🙈

Holy moly,I think I say it every comment, but you are so prolific! I love the different shades of green actually in the bouquet stems. It makes it more realistic and visually interesting. Hey, Oline, as always your episode inspires me so much, and gives me idea's for so many projects I'll never have time to knit. The sheep is so cute. Claire Garland is famous for her animals patterns. And your bouquet becomes great. A tip to make a bouquet it's beter to have an uneven number of each sort of flowers. I don't know why, but the ensemble looks better. And I love the Ellen's cardigan in this color.
@norwegianknitterКүн бұрын
Hi! It's means so much to hear you find it inspiring🥹 I look a bit at alk her patterns, and she has so many cute ones!! I wish I enjoyed knitting them up more🙈 I've heard about uneven number of flowers, but I've not heard that you should do that for each type😅 Not me, having even numbers for almost all of them🥲 Thanks for letting me know!

The sheep is adorable! I think your wedding flowers are beautiful! Don’t worry about the different shades of green. If you look at a field of flowers in nature, there are many different shades of green and they all look beautiful together. Same with your bouquet. 😊

Thank you so much! My original idea was to mix greens just because they are mixed in nature, but now I can't help but feel it's a bit chaotic😅

Lovely to catch up with you! Your bag is amazing~ I made the Ellen cardigan for my little one last summer and it still doesn’t have buttons hahahah. Oh well 🤭 She’s not seen that I could knit/crochet stuffies yet so I’m glad because I can keep knitting her jumpers but I look forward to doing some. I got the Alexandra’s Vegetable Garden by Kerry Lord to crochet and all the yarn to make half the projects but I just can’t seem to start. How do you find motivation?? Hope your wedding makes go well this week. Remember to take breaks and move your hands and wrists x
@norwegianknitter2 күн бұрын
Thank you!! It took me a good 6 months to get buttons on the Ellens Cardigan I made this summer😅🙈 But I knit button holes as I knit, I think that helps me procrastinate a bit less! While I definitely prefer garments myself too, the feeling of being able to gift your child a stuffed animal they have been dreaming of and that you have made is pretty great! I think a lot of my motivation comes from involving my son, I hope he'll grow up to cherish the craft, too, and stuffed animals is a great way to involve him❤️ He's already as big a fan if not a bigger fan than me of yarn🙈 Thank you! My hands and wrist are something I'm trying to think of and take care of!

Oh my, what a cute sheep but the big one and matching little one is huge. Wow, that will be quite an undertaking to make. But, it will please your son so much. Your bouquet flowers are incredible. Seriouisly, you are amazing. It is and will be so beautiful. I thought you said that was it for wedding knitting and now you are making sweaters for the little men. You accomplish so much. Good your fiance is able to give you extra knitting time. You were able to get great yarn deals. Fun knitting ahead. Great podcast. I hope you don’t have to stress too much.

The big one is huuuuge! But with how excited my son is about it, and what an amazing pillow it would also be, I think it'll be well worth the effort! I just need to finish a few things first😅 Thank you! I'm really pleased with how the flowers are turning out! And it's so nice to know I'll be able to keep them forever🥹❤️ The bouquet was my last "new" idea, I'm trying not to add anything more to my "to-do list" The cardigans has been a part of my plans since the middle of this summer, I just never got around to actually getting the yarn🙈 Time management is not my strong suit! I'm really thankful he's giving me as much knitting time as he can, but I think my hands are suffering because of it😅 Thank you so much!!

Maybe if you embroider a "Y" shape on the muzzle, with an inverted curved bottom, you will like the look of his nose. It was the good ole days when my son wanted me to sew a dog for him. He's 32 now, and I sewed all of his clothes until he was 8 and wanted mass-produced clothing so he wouldn't stand out.
@norwegianknitter2 күн бұрын
I'll try that out! The most important part is that my son loves it, and no matter the shape or look of the nose, I did accomplish that! What an amazing feat to sew all his clothes! I wish I could do that😍

can you please make a video and explain and show us the steps to make the little red hat you made for your son? I bought the pattern in pdf format but I don't understand it very well. It's explained in English and it's quite difficult for me to understand the process. There's no need for very exact details and thus the pattern creator gets upset, but at least show what the steps are and how they are done in order to understand the pattern. I got to the step where you have to insert a thread of a different color so that you know where you're going to knit the part for the ears and that's where I got stuck. thank you very much😊
@norwegianknitter2 күн бұрын
I think it still might be somewhat crossing the line to make a tutorial? The part you're at is very similar to inserting a contrast thread for the thumb when making mittens. I don't know if you have done that before, but it's more likely that there are tutorials for that online, maybe? Feel free to message me on Instagram if you need more help!

LisaR : You have a gorgeous collection started ! The pink sweater is really pretty - but if the neck is pulling it's annoying to wear . The top down raglan patterns seem to have the issue , even if the short rows are in. It seems like the saddle shoulders , or contiguous knit patterns avoid the problem .. Coco Knits.. is one .. .. Ps - maybe you could cut a steek into the pink sweater front and add a button band ? The lace should hold ( mohair ;)
