My parents’ deaths. I was 16 when my father died on Christmas Day of a heart attack. My last memory of him was sitting helplessly with him, holding his hand as he screamed in pain. Fast forward many decades later, I was mom’s sole caregiver through her Alzheimer’s. As sick as she was, she was always my rock, and I felt like I was losing my mind as she declined and died. She was my friend, my mother, my child, and my partner. It was just the two of us, as I never married or had children. I agree with the person who said it marks your soul forever.

My pain was to the heart. I married the love of my life at 21. He was my first date in high school. He joined the Air Force and I used to get butterfly’s in my stomach when he would come home even after two years of marriage. He was sent overseas after our two years of marriage. I was heart broken and missed him every second. After 13 months I went to the air port to pick him up, the happiest day of my life. He walked up to me and instead of grabbing me and hugging me like I had dreamt of for 13 months he told me he wanted a divorce, he was in love with a girl over seas. There were no cell phones back then, 1971, or iPads for face time. I had no idea. So the happiest day of my life became also the most horrible day… to this day he is the love of my life, I never saw him again, except in my dreams, which I still have. That has always been the most pain I have ever felt and still feel at 77 years old.

I’ve had that same cervical biopsy. I also screamed! I wasn’t expecting it to hurt that bad! But the worst pain ever was a 3rd degree burn on my entire forearm from a skillet full of boiling bacon fat. I grabbed it before my daughter pulled it off the stove, I bumped her safely out of the way with my hip, but it splashed on my arm. That was definitely the worst pain ever! I wanted to cut my arm off! Thank god for Silvidine cream. PS I did not get a scar, I kept it wet with fresh Aloe Vera from my garden and then I kept the scab wet with vitamin E oil, I never let it dry and I never picked the scab. Had a pink mark for a couple of years, but it’s completely gone now. Everyone should grow Aloevera

I had back surgery around 20 yrs ago where they cut through my abdomen and went in that way they said to avoid the spinal cord. When I woke up in severe pain after the surgery the nurse came to give me pain meds but I was allergic to it and couldn't take it. The dr already left the hospital and could not be reached to get a different order for pain meds. I screamed and cried in the worse pain I have ever felt. I begged to die. I had home birth without drugs that was nothing compared to this. I cried and screamed in agony until they moved me to the morgue so I wouldn't disturb other patients. I woke up and the room was full of bodies covered with sheets. They decided to keep me knocked out with anesthesia until the dr could be reached the next day. That was the only thing they had an order for that they could give me. So they knocked me out over and over again until the next day. My husband was looking all over the hospital for me and was told they didn't know where I was. He thought I had died during surgery and they were trying to hide it. They kept me drugged up for four days, I was in and out of awareness. On day four I was awake enough to tell them I'm leaving the hospital. My husband got me out of there and I was on my own at home trying to recover. No I don't trust drs or hospitals. I have anxiety just going to a dr.

In 2010 I had a tear in my anulus - a portion of a disc in my back - that caused electric shock type pain when I moved. I never knew what movement would cause the pain so I was always in a stiff caution mode. I didn't end up needing surgery thank goodness. Physical therapy and after that weekly massage therapy got me back to normal. But I remember sitting on the side of my bed one day thinking, what if this pain never goes away? I knew then how people could get addicted to pain meds and could fall into depression. The pain takes over every part of your life.

I was arching my back and raised up on both arms above the side rails and I couldn’t even scream I had to emit a loud piercing sound out of my lungs for several contractions. Well they did the same thing to me except my uterus decided to contract down on the tool while it was still inside me. I was screaming in pain and almost passed out. They refused to call an ambulance (hubby drove me there) and the er doc said they could have perforated my uterus. They didn't thank God. The next week I found a new doctor, she had me do another one under full sedation and that week I found out I had uterine cancer at the ripe old age of 28. 2015, breast cancer. After lumpectomy, my very first chemo treatment. It was given on a Friday. Hours after that at home I experienced the worst body pain I ever felt. Like I had been hit and run over by a Mack Truck. I was screaming, and crying. I did not know or was not told if I had any problems to call. I was in so much pain I could not move and laid curled up in my bed. I took the pain pills I was given after the surgery that I never took. That Monday I went to my oncologist and she did help. She explained that it is not a perfect science and they go by your weight, and height I think. I seriously did not think I could do this. But she lowered it to a tolerable level. That has been almost 10 years ago and I haven't had a recurrence of it. I did not have to search my brain for this. It was top of the list.

When I finally quit yelling/screaming (full of relatively ineffective morphine). It was the middle of the night and they wouldn't call the pain specialist. When she finally came in 15 hours later she had a fit and started yelling at people. And then gave me a drug I can't mention on here but is killing everyone nowadays.

I had an emergency c section. The spinal did not numb the center of my bellie, as they cut me open and numbed the edges with a syringe… unbelievable pain. Because hen the cut the uterus the same… yup!

I had my teeth filed down in the front in prep for crowns. They gave me temporary crowns for a couple of weeks. They never said I should stay away from any foods or drink. I had red wine one night and woke up the next day looking like a Dickens character. My teeth were an ugly gray colour from the wine sinking into the porous material of the temporary crowns. When I went to get my actual crowns and the dentist took off the tremps, he said the wine had permeated and stained my filed down teeth and he'd have to use a solution to get that off. I thought all was fine as I had been frozen for the process. As soon as I walked out and got in my car to go home, the freezing had started to wear off and I was in INTENSE pain. I was in tears for the entire 20 minute drive home and had to take two extra strength painkillers and go to bed. Worse pain ever.

She is so cute! ❤ I had that procedure done but they put me to sleep. I can’t believe you had that done awake! Yikes! Why didn’t they put you under? I was having lower abdominal pain that would put me in a fetal position on the floor. Never knew when it was going to hit me! So they decided to do a D and C to see if that would fix it….it did!

Kidney stone. Now that you mention it. I also had that procedure done.l that you mentioned. Torture, I still think the kidney stone was worse. Probably because the lousy emergency room put me in a room for a couple of hours with no pain meds. Another reason why not to live in kitsap county, Washington.

Wisty won’t play with toys either. The squeakers even scare her. Our other little boy loved the soft balls with a squeaker inside. He played all day long every day and I was always in the hunt for them and bought them to have on hand. Once the squeaker broke, he wouldn’t touch the ball. We loved the little squeaky music. Wisty is the same breed and wants no part of an object making noise at her. Yikes for you! Nothing like that but I fell a couple of times at work: 1st a little boy came running to me and I turned to let him pass by and fell hard and nearly had my chin hit a bottom shelf and another time I went down hard with a heavy cashiers tray in my hands and a Dr. put me on a table with a belt around my waist and used an electric pulley around my waist with 15 of pressure pulling my hips down and my knees were pinned against the machine. Bending over to do things kills me and I can’t figure out how to undo that pain. I can barely get up off of some chairs.

Spending almost one year fighting what I thought was a never ending yeast infection. Then the pain began. Felt like Jack the Ripper had a field day down there. When I had to stuff a wash cloth in my mouth to muffle my screams when I would urinate I knew something was terribly wrong. Got a mirror out and thought I would take a peak. There was nothing there. What I mean is the labia Minora as well as the clitoris were just GONE. Turns out I was having a sever reaction to Lichen’s Sclerosis. The parts of my body that had disappeared had actually been absorbed into my body…..never to return. I had a complete meltdown to say the least. I had never heard of this before. It is one of those autoimmune things that happen without rhyme or reason. Why did it take so long for me to find out? Because the flare ups were few and far between and it just never occurred to me that it could be something serious. Now I have to get checked twice a year for vulvar cancer. That is the next step in this disease. Each time I go in for a check up I wonder if today is the day I find out I have started the next step. My PA told me a few weeks ago that I am one of those people who have a ‘unique’ medical history. I didn’t know if I should laugh or slap him silly. Who’s next?

Trust me when I say NOTHING compared to that Jack the Ripper pain. Not labor, not sciatica, not gallbladder or even kidney stones. I live in fear of the next flare up.

I'm on a Facebook page group about this and they talk about flares. I'm always thinking what do you mean by flares? Mine never goes away. I'm literally always in a flare.
@diannerodriguez13873 ай бұрын
@@CaravanCarolyn I have weeks go by with no symptoms at all then all at once I will feel like Jack the Ripper has been at it with a razor blade. The pain is beyond anything I have ever known and it Takes the Clobetosol several days to work and tone the pain down. Then after it calms down I cut the use of Clobetosol to twice a week. My last flare was a year ago and I went through an entire tube of medication and was honestly thinking out counting crap off myself. Since then I haven’t had any symptoms so I am in real fear of the next flare up. My doctor is awesome. when she found out about the last flare she told me she didn’t care where in the world I was, I needed to call her and she would find me someone even in another country that was close to me so I could be seen ASAP. She said no one should have to suffer like that for that long. I’m grateful to know I may have some care if I ever go through anything like that again. I have never asked about support groups but i am sure there are some. It might be nice to know i am not the only one one going through this torture. For all of us out here I thing we should be spreading the word. Because I know have have to be many more who are suffering and have no idea what is happening.

When I was about 19 years old I had a cotter key slip while I was working on my car and it stuck a hole in my left thumb and it bled a little and I did not think much about it. It healed up in a couple of weeks and about a month later my thumb started to swell up and it got 3 times normal size. I went to the doctor and he said I had a bone felon and we would have to let it come to a head before they could do any thing with it. I was admitted to the hospital for 7 days and on the 4th, 5th and 6th day it hurt so bad I just wanted to die to make the pain stop. On the 7th day the doctor cut into my thumb and removed some bone fragments that had caused the infection and it finally quit hurting so bad that I could at least stand it. If I had died I would not have cared as long as the pain stopped.

Well the worst pain I can remember is a kidney stone. I was laying on the floor in the fetal position then sitting on the toilet about to pass out My mother was there but she was in stages of Alzheimer's or dementia. She was still well enough to call my sister over. My sister looked at me writhing on the ground and said yes thank you might need to go to the hospital? She was smart enough to have the ambulance come because that way I would be seen quicker she was right. They gave me a cocktail of medication. Right then I understood what drug addicts go through. The heavens opened up and the angels sing and there was peace in the Middle East! Because this was over a Christmas holiday I had to go back to the hospital three times. Because the pharmacy was not open due to Christmas and the weekend. The hospital kind of got upset with me and said well we can keep giving you drugs I go why not? Anyway I guess it was a kidney stone I don't remember passing it. I prayed to G-d I told him because of all the pain I'm going through please don't make me pass the stone and go through that pain! That was the worst I can ever remember being in pain. If that's what childbirth is like I'm so glad I never went through it. 😮 Getting your inside scrape doesn't sound fun either! I would have made them give you some sort of numbing pain or something. I guess we are old lol😅

I don't normally get headaches but about 8 years ago I was put on a new medication and oh my God, the migraine was unbearable. I almost went to the emergency room but then my sister-in-law brought to my attention that I was on a new medication and that is what was causing it. So I just stopped the medication and all was well.
