They may play pieces by European composers with their Asian heart and soul, while not having a clue about the original idea underlying this or that piece, being generally ignorant of the great Christian culture that inspired best pieces written by German, Austrian, Italian, French or Russian composers. This is why they will never reach the level of A-S. Mutter, Vadim Repin or Itzkhak Perlman.

Jeehoun Lee the reason why musicians do that is because it helps them to interpret music better. Often it's not on purpose :)
