Hans Christian Andersen and Anything Goes were great films she was in. Her performances were superb. She also did a Capitol Records recording of popular French songs, done in a format as if you would take a tour of France. She served as the tour guide and singer of some of the tunes. It warms my heart that Zizi lives on. "Mon truc en plumes" (which translates to "My Feathery Thing" but is also termed "My Thing with Feathers") was Zizi's trademark song, choreographed by her husband Roland Petit. Paris remembers them with great fondness. They captured the glamour, the excitement of Paris night life. If you loved this, I'm happy to say there is more than enough material on YT for you to go down into a Zizi deep dive.

@farylmz5 ай бұрын
100% agree. Love Gaga, but her performance lacked the cohesiveness of this one too. Gaga just left me thinking, “I guess maybe French people really love that song?” because I didn’t really “get” it. Came here to watch the video after reading it was meant to be an homage to this particular performance. Gaga seemed to just have dancers with cool feathers. This choreography is more cheeky and its playful “game” is immediately intuitive without needing any context at all.

@@marcelochaves6076 Pesquisei agora. Lady Gaga has made a career at imitating the greatest originals but she still has to be one herself. Zizi’s performance is so effortlessly beautiful and refined. Wether Gaga is imitating Madonna, Grace Jones, singing The Sound of Music at the Oscars, trying to be Liza Minelli in her jazz act with Tony Bennett, channeling Bruce Springsteen in her folk phase or doing Zizi at the Olympics she always brings her own personal twist and hard work but never quite recaptures the magic of the originals she’s taking cues from.
