Solid episode. Amazing how those o-rings failed on the priority valve. Good work removing what you could. Must have been an expensive repair for 2 failed turbos - ouch! Thanks for interesting videos.

i just got a new tractor and the first one with DEF. And it took half of the def fuel for on tank of diesel. The problem was, the nox sensor was broken. i just hope the src filter will be ok, cause it did make a lot of regenartion in the first 20 houers. great work mate! cheers from switzerland.

It's always cool seeing all the different parts and systems. The Priority valve is pretty interesting. All the planes I work on have a landing gear priority valve. Kind of the same concept. When you put the landing gear up or down it makes sure the flight controls have enough pressure. If they don't it cuts of hydraulics to the landing gear. Better to have to go around because the gear isn't down than to not be able to climb out if their is terrain on final

Thanks for another great video Zach. Busy busy time of the year for you. Wow. The repairs in this video were once again super interesting. When those turbos go they go. Wow. Never seen oil in them like that before. The situation you had with the power steering was interesting. Did not totally understand that the hydraulic priorities worked like that where the steering and such has priorities over the other systems. Not a bad fix once you figured out what was wrong. Learned a lot on that one. The tractor where the fan mechanics took out the radiator and other parts was a big fix. Nice you have a tractor the farmer can use because now is busy busy time. Have not seen any planters you have worked on. I am hearing lots and lots of sensor problems. For example, Zach Johnson, has had a ton of sensor problems. I hear that same story at the coffee stop. Are these planter sensors that sensitive to what ever, like the weather or whatever. I hear some talk about the grounding of the sensors????? How about a quick overview of planter sensors. You take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for your great teaching abilities and narratives explaining these problems and fixes. Thanks for everything ZK. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.

Yeah sometimes those planter sensors, especially the down force sensor can be a pain. And sometimes you can’t get them to act up until you start planting. Hard to find those problems in the shed during the winter. We usually get the bugs out of them when they first start planting and then they are usually trouble free

I have several pair of locking hemostats used by doctors. I really like using them to extract o-rings inside of bores. The next time you get some stitches, ask the doctor if you can have the tools that he used. Most of the time they will give them to you. Even though they are nice stainless steel they disposed of rather than sterilized and reused. I have had one or two goofy doctors tell me no, because they don't want people stitching themselves up at home.

Man looks like that fan drives on them deeres are a crappy bunch. Pretty happy with the claas we run at work only problem so far was/is a electrical issue causing a common rail pressure relief valve code derating the tractor. As far as we can tell there is nothing actually wrong just some electric issue but we dont have a mastertech who can manage to find it...

I got a 2012 8235r Oil consumption and white smoke out of exhaust,(deleted) I got play in my vgt turbo shaft. Would you recommend replacing both turbos? Or start digging into the rings? Compression test came out good just a piston was shy by .4 , they did have a recall for rings. Would it be worth the shot with turbos?

We have a 8335R and it absolutely will not turn on asphalt. Doesn’t matter how slow or how fast I’m going it just will not do it. It steers perfectly fine on dirt, I can basically turn it full lock while standing still on dirt. Does this sound like a priority valve to you? I have not tried engaging an scv to see if it makes a difference. Basically feels like I lost all steering completely the second I touch asphalt.

Fantastic video! And a question: When mechanics say they'll "send a part (like an engine or transmission) in 'as a core'", what does that mean? Is that going to the OEM for a factory reman/repair, going to be pulled apart by a QC engineer to see what went wrong? Or something else? Cheers!

I’ve got a 2013 8335RT and whenever I run the hydraulics for an extended period of time and shut it off and try to restart it it will not start I wait a bit and then it’ll start. Also I’m getting codes that my scv are not returning to neutral position could this be a priority valve issue?
