Picked up a zl400 and I weigh 245lbs and this thing has gotten me cruising at 90 plus miles an hour and I haven't even done any work to it yet. Love this baby girl got it for me for 650

I had one as well. Beautiful bike, more power & handled much better than the XVS1300 I have now. It just got old & I had kids to manage. Had a few bikes over the years but the ZL I will always miss...

yes fantastic bike, the 1000 have a capacity to 18.5 liter the 900 is limit with 11

I see you ditched the cheap plastic chrome horn covers. I lost one of them off my bike when it was brand new. The wind took it off so I removed the other as well. Looked cheap anyway. I had mine top speed 135mph once. And I mean once! It started a slight wobble and scared the living hell out of me! Never went more than 120 mph thereafter.

I had one of each at one time or another the 600 / the 900/ and the mighty 1000./ I remember when this bike came out we all thought that back tire was just the biggest thing we had ever seen at that time lol now today its nothig
