Zlatan Ibrahimovic retires from football aged 41

Zlatan Ibrahimovic said on Sunday he had decided to end his football career aged 41.
The striker's AC Milan contract expires at the end of June and he had already announced he would not be renewing it following an injury-plagued season.
But the Swedish legend announced on Sunday that "the time has come to say goodbye to football".
A clearly emotional Ibrahimovic was serenaded by the Milan fans who held up a large Tifo spelling out 'Godbye' and was then given a guard of honour by his team-mates as he left the pitch.

Well, winning an international tournament with Sweden was always going to be a difficult task. The only tiny chance he could have pulled it off was in 2004 when Sweden actually had a decent team. They bungled it against Netherlands in the quarterfinals when they dominated the game. Went out on penalties. After that, team Sweden was poor as 💩 rest of his career.

Didnt expect that tbh, but hes a lion even to know when is time to stop. What a legendary player. If his personality wasnt loveable enough the guy was really masterclass and show that all through out his career and many different clubs, tournaments and countries. Honestly, what we are losing in football in the recent years has no replacement. Sure, theres some new guys good with the ball here and there but a guy like Ibrah wont ever appear again. Just hope more people knew his "entitlement", though deserved tbh, was always a part of his identity and he was instead a nice and charismatic guy that has always worked hard to be at the highest levels.
