Thanks...depending on how much it defrosted....if it is completely soft I throw it away....chokka the first time it defrosts i will take the skin off and wrap it and freeze again....but like this chokka in the video went on another outing but didnt defrost on a previous trips so i took it with again

Hi Xander, what is your opinion on throwing the whole occi leg vs your bait presentation?

I like a whole occi leg. I have had a lot of success with it....when distance is an issue i prefer this presentation purely because of the distance you get more by clipping the bait

Ok I see, thanks. When I fished witsand in December at a spot where distance wasn’t a problem I threw some whole occi legs so fresh they were still moving but the smooth hounds finished me on them.

Got the surfboard foam from a contact with a surf shop...normal high density foam I buy from tackle shops.

You better hurry up or a fish is going to come up the beach and snatch it right off your cooler! Why not a bead and wrap the bait ball up the line, using the bead to hold, and bury the hook entirely?

Then the hook won't be exposed and you won't hook the fish...in order for a circle hook to do his work proper the bait needs to be underneath the hook and to hook properly exposed.
