Living (and often, hiding) in every fresh- and saltwater fishery are little bottom dwelling baitfish-gobies, sculpin, darters, bullheads, mudminnows-that provide predatory sustenance. Sure, smallmouth bass relish gobies and eat them like candy. But so do largemouths, brown trout, walleye . . . You name the gamefish; they all snack on pudgy little minnows that live and lie camouflaged near bottom. Chuck a Z-Man Gobius structure swimbait-gumdrop soft and yet radically resilient-and you’ll soon set the hook into things that like to pull back!
