I think Barry must have learned that trick from Monk. He’s about the only other pianist I notice that will quickly release certain notes in a chord while leaving others pressed for the full duration of the chord. Seems like a continuation or another aspect of Monk’s stark aesthetic. Beautiful and strange. Always cool to learn from you Master Zaleski.

Deep stuff ive always liked the song by Jimmy Van Heusen and johnny Burke and heard many differant versions of it from Etta James to Kieth Jarret it is a very rich harmonic and melodic song thanks fors your break down
