@Repito Truthfully, it helped out a lot. My store sells premium anti-fatigue mats at a pretty high price so it can be hard to market it properly. For the full month of March we got 13,600 conversion value for 2,100 cost. A huge improvement from where we were at!

Hey. I've launched performance max campaigns for two separate accounts and they have been running for about 7-8 days. I have set up the campaigns very similar to what you did in the video, even uploaded customer match lists and targeted visitors from google analytics. The campaigns are getting clicks but almost no conversions. What could be the problem.

Hey Sapam, it's actually quite easy to do this. Go to your Facebook ads manager and go to audiences. Here you can create a new audience to target website visitors. You can enter a few variables that a visitor must meet in order to be retargeted. You can choose to target people who have visited a product page or blog page. Or all visitors who have visited your website by entering only your homepage URL. When you're done, name the target audience and save it. After which you will create a new campaign within your Facebook Ads Manager with which you will retarget your website visitors. Set everything up and within the targeting section you can choose an audience. Choose the newly created audience for this. Choose who you want to target men, women or both. Choose the age range you want to target. Finally you can create the ad and start retargeting visitors through Facebook & Instagram.

Hey Sapam, the best way to do this is going to be using sending your Google Ads traffic to a specific landing page then create a remarketing audiences in Facebook for anybody that hits that page. Also using UTMs will help organize all these audiences as well. Hopefully that helps

I am actually trying this on a lead gen SAAS company right now and I had the same worry. If you are going to run this I would highly recommend making sure you have offline conversion tracking set up through your CRM (like SalesForce) that pass events like Opportunity and closed won revenue or other down funnel events like that. Then when you set up the account tell Google to optimize for those events instead of just leads. It has been a game changer.

Has this worked for you with a cold campaign? As in, starting P-max with no data from previous shopping campaigns?

Great question. I haven't tried this for a cold campaign, but my guess is it wouldn't perform as well. The p-max preform when there is lots of data to go off of. But maybe I will try it and let you know how it ends up doing.

Thanks for the brilliant video. Curious to know if Performance Max can work for Ecomms without GMerchantCenter. The test campaign you ran for your customer, did it use SmartShopping in PMax or were you able to increase the ROAS to 3.42 without SmartShopping in PMax placements. Thanks.

I haven't tried running Performance max without Gmerchant center, but I don't see a reason why I wouldn't work. The p-max campaign I ran in this example was completely seperate from the smart shopping campaign.

@@ZoCoMarketing Thanks for responding. There are conflicting answers about running PMax without GMC, some suggest Display and YTube may burn a lot of budget (without Merchat Center/smart shopping), while some suggest ecomms can still run Pmax successfully without GMC.
