We know it's a very hard situation right now in Sri Lanka and we want to do everything we can to support the locals 🇱🇰 We filmed this video a few weeks ago in February. We were unsure if we should post videos of our time in Sri Lanka, as we don't want to be ignorant of the fact that many people are struggling right now. But ultimately we decided to post our videos of Sri Lanka and hope that they can continue to show the beauty of this country during these tough times, especially because tourism is very important to the country.

I wouldn’t worry about it seeming insensitive to post videos - looks like a beautiful country to visit and I’m sure it will be after too. I just got back from a few weeks in Thailand (visited both Koh Chang and Koh Kood after randomly stumbling across your videos) and I’ve got the post-holiday blues. So envious of you being able to travel for such an extended period. The production quality of your videos is great by the way. Keep it up and the subscribers are bound to come 👍

@@ZoeandSimon I did, thanks. I’m from Scotland though and 20 degrees C is considered to be ‘hot’ here, so it took a while to get used to SE Asia again 😂 Both islands were great but really quiet. It was amazing and surreal for us to have pretty much everything to ourselves, but definitely sad for the locals. Hopefully things pick up

visit hortain plains,Ella area.Really good climate,best views,scenic beauty and many place to visit.Also dont forget to go with train because those train routes are amazing.and if you want safari rides,go to ridiyagama safari park so there u can see many animals maybe wilpattu safari ride had disapointed.also u can check those things on youtube before planing.And thanks for continuing ur journey in sri lanka during this Hard time💕😘🇱🇰

Thank you for asking! We left Sri Lanka a few weeks ago already and are currently travelling through Australia 🙂 We had a really good time and we are just lagging behind with uploading our videos from the trip because we only publish one video per week.

Actually it is not a lion statue in Sigiriya. Many archeologists believe it is a statue of Bird Gurula (Hawk or similar). If you compare the foot of Lion and Hawk you will see it is more likely to a foots of HAWK

But as you were travelling around the country their s no issues what so ever effect tourists other than the power cuts. World media is giving wrong information to the world. Srilanka is always safe to tourists. This anti government protest are only in front of the presidential secretariat galle face Colombo 1. That also very peaceful. All what they ask people who want to participate to bring love .not hatered I have never seen or heard of a protest anywhere in the world with thousands participating without single incident or a any form of violence. It is lovely to watch how united and peaceful these demonstrations. For any western tourists that itself a fresh experience .I have seen many tourists also holding placards and taking selfies. Let the world know true situation not the fake news on world media. Tourists who are in the country at this moment are the best judges. Hope you enjoyed your stay in Srilanka without any trouble.
