Try the Malaysian high tea with traditional kuih, I think you can find just the kuihs at la Cucur,at Great Eastern Mall/Bangsar Village/KL Sentral or eat st Ah Yumm by Kampung Kravers at Wangsa Walk. The Sheraton Imperial KL do have the Malaysian Traditional Hi tea, as far as I know of. Lady Yi's Tea House at Four Points by Sheraton, serve nyonya kuihs. Madam Kwan's too. Or if you went to melaka go and have tea at perhentian Kuih Kampung.

That bun you ate is called Otak Otak bun . Otak Otak is actually made with fish and prawn mixed with herbs..It is actually a dish on his own.. usually famous in Johor and Melaka . If i'm not mistaken .. it's a Baba Nyonya dish .

With that kind of price, it sure is damn tasty (even though your palette are trying very hard against it). The best hi-tea for me would be unsweetened hot tea with sweet malay kueh.. you should try to go to the night market located at Taman Tun Dr. Ismail (TTDI) this Sunday.

This is excellent but personally I think the high tea at Shangri-la Hotel KL is closer to the traditional English high tea: finger sandwiches, scones with loads of clotted cream and jam and finished off with sweet pastries and cakes... 😋 👌
