Italian singer and voice teacher here. You are absolutely correct about how the way we pronounce vowels influences the way we sing, as we almost always naturally go for a brighter and more "open" tone. Our music culture has led us to prefer M1 over M2 because we generally want our voices to sound strong, powerful and (no surprise) a bit dramatic throughout the whole vocal range. Unfortunately, this also means that it's quite difficult for people who start singing to understand the concept of mixed voice. Which is incredibly helpful and effective if you want to sing high pitches in a safe way, with a consistent tone and without sounding "strangled." And yes, we also have to work hard on tongue position because it tends to create some excessive tension. 🎶🎤

@bdboui Unfortunately I don't know much about the Turkish language. However, it's important to understand that "mixed voice" is a way to describe a specific approach to singing, where the singer wisely mixes elements from different singing techniques in order to achieve a consistent and solid tone that still sounds smooth and effortless, especially in middle / high pitches. It can be achieved no matter the language you sing in. It's about tone and vocal sound quality. I hope this helps 😉

That's correct. "Noia" means "boredom". She sings "è la cumbia della noia" ("it's the cumbia of boredom"). From my understanding "cumbia" is a dance from Colombia where partners don't touch each others. Anyway, jaw-dropping performance. Italian term noia means boredom, in this song it's used in a more existential way, she's not only bored but she seems in a tiring and quite depressing moment and to escape from it she does things. But she also said in an interview that that feeling doesn't have to be bad because it can be a place where beautiful things grow and people feel like that most of the time (i can be wrong, i don't know if i remember clearly). It's a pretty song, if you speak italian it doesn't sound so good, although she's majestic

“La noia” means boredom, but this is like a manifest for it, admitting how much we feel depressed for it, but in reality is important to have moments of boredom in life since it is when actually creativity starts. So boredom is connected to depression too, but what she is trying to say is to don’t demonize it making it like a curse, rather appreciate and enjoy it because, I would say, having nothing to do nowadays, in such a busy world, it is a treasure, beside being an great input for our creativity. Thank you for your words, despite of the joyful rythm the song talks about reacting to stereotypes, boredom, challengrs of life. That since suffering is sonetimes part of life so why not having a party celebrating even bad moments cause it means living and not facing them means instead letting life passing under your nose.

La noia means letterally the boredom.. in this case it's actually used to describe a sort of depression due to this kind of boredom. It's interesting the meaning of the lyrics of this song. And yeah, she preforms with a strong dialect accent from southern Italy (even if the lyrics it's fully in Italian). Studying linguistic i can assure that the 7 vowels that we use in italian are different from the english ones (the vowels are written in 5 forms: a e i o u, but we have 2 es and 2 os that can be distinguished by the accent, è or é for example, but it's preatty rare) and even if our vowels are written the same, the pronuciaciont is different, For example our "a" is more open.
