I was never really a fan of her but she blew me away with this performance. I didn't know how great of a singer she was. And to be able to sing so well while doing all those stunts?? I feel like I missed out on being a fan of her when I was younger (I'm 32 now). Hope it's not too late for me to dive back and listen to her greatest hits. Even though I'm not too familiar with her songs, they give off a vibe of modern nostalgia... It is very likely that at MTV (let's mention the huge foundation in lip syncing this event has in its whole lifespan) they have prerecorded her doing the whole show, keeping her realistic struggles at some points and perfecting her tone and agility in others to portray another superhero star. In actual live performances even the biggest most talented artists may lose their breath in focal points of their show. It cannot believe a mediocre vocal range singer can do all of this while hanging and running around a stage and exhibiting gymnastics. Bonus obvious sign is the mic almost inside her mouth - classic hiding move of lipsync singers.

Oh…everything is prerecorded in this performanse. From start to finish. Watched it a milion times😂 and I love it, I don’t mind it. Vocals are live(not edited) but who knows how many takes or just one? I believe that when she sings live, she doesn’t just stand still in one place, but rather she makes some movements like part of a choreography, or perhaps runs on a treadmill at certain moments for specific phrases. The illusion of live singing must be created, and for that reason, she must also convey through energy and gestures, not only with her facial expressions but also with her movements, that she is indeed producing that voice in the moment…still vocals are live just not from that moment so very impressive and her performans is amazing. 😊

I think with her pregnancy and after doing a vegans residency where she did a lot more wire stunts, she's probably gotten stronger in her vocals. Also, it helps that she's probably been rehearsing a lot cause she had this as just one of her big upcoming performances. She'll also be performing for the Australian super bowl later this month and I think she also had one other big performance too.

This was an amazing performance visually, however I hate to be the one to burst the bubble here but she wasn’t singing live throughout this performance. You can hear the difference between the pre recorded and the live parts. Most likely the “live” bits were recorded earlier in the day, the entire first segment wasn’t live until it got to the he’s mine part.
