The staging and camera work were epic too. Bambi is from cork which is a very lyrical accent. They trained as a ballet dancer. They also co wrote the song. Love will always triumphs hate - im all for that

Of course a Kiwi gets it! 😄 Bambie was giving us Maleficent while conjuring the monster-boyfriend. The changes in lighting accompanied the change in music genre, changing the appearance of the performers. And something even more rare: they didn't try to merely copy their music video on stage, they came up with a completely new performance that nevertheless captured the essence of the music video. And, Thank You for offering us insight into the actual vocal techniques being used. It shows just what actually went into this performance. I find so many people's … reactions … to Doomsday Blue to be nothing but concentrated, distilled hatred, and utterly disrespectful. Having you, an expert in singing, show us what lies behind a performance like this is so refreshing.

So happy to see someone actually appreciate this song, they did an amazing performance and people are judging them because the song is too "satanic" and "inappropriate", l was watching a different reaction to it on youtube by a vocal coach l think and the person reacting literally said "think of the children watching" and complained the whole time that they shouldn't have made a song like that instead of commenting on how amazing they did, it honestly just pissed me off.

When they were making the official video for Doomsday Blue, they intended for it to be a lot darker. But then they found out that a lot of children liked the song and were listening to it so they changed it to be lighter (i.e. the "candyland" scenes).

I cried when I first saw this. I don't usually dig this aesthetic and it's off-putting to me, not because of the religion stuff, but I always see "witches" as attention seeking people, but Bambie fucking brought it on another level. What a singer, what a performer and above everything, what a human! I'm literally enchanted. I could literally sense they're not fake, but a true, true artist. This wasn't for the shock, this was pure art, astounding singing, astounding stage interpretation of the song... I don't have more words to praise them and their crew for this. I was thrilled when I heard Bambie was representing Ireland, I knew they'd serve. Check out "Tsunami" or "Egregore," then have a look at "Love Bites." It'll give you a good idea of how genre-defying they are.

As some further info to help with separating out the vocals going on, eurovision has a rule where the main vocals must be sung live and without effect. So Bambie is most likely singing live with their other vocal tracks as backing. That they can manage this so seamlessly on broadcast TV amazed me.
