Bambie Thug and Nemo became friends. They are both non-binary and connected. It's a beautiful friendship. And they both fought behind the stages... this year's Eurovision was a political sh*tshow. With a disqualification that we do not know the exact reasons and a participation from Israel with a highly political song that should not have been admitted. Pro-peace protests, booing etc. The writing on Bambie's face means "cease fire". First Bambie had to remove it... then it was allowed. Nemo had a non-binary flag and a flag of Switzerland at the flag parade. Even if the European Broadcasting Union allows LGBTQ flags Nemo had to smuggle it in. Then the Italian singer Angelina Mango showed up in the media center and sang Imagine by John Lennon and the French singer Slimane interrupted the last rehearsal to speak up for peace. I loved the artists who fought for free speech. One side was allowed to make propaganda, Russia was banned, and all those who spoke up for the other side were silenced. But the songs were great. It just wasn't all about music. If you want to know about European politics do not watch the news. Watch Eurovision. 😂

They were amazing and I love that you right away thought of pagan rituals and wiccan magic. I read somewhere that the song is about people hurting them in love and then they conjure up their own partner who turns out to be the worst of them all. That's why after the change to the second outfit (which is the colors of trans if I remember correctly) she says how compared to the others their favorite colors is doomsday blue. In the end they destroy the summoned companion.

Typically the staging is designed by a ‘staging director’ or choreographer, but obviously with input from the artist etc. Generally the performance as a whole (and how well the staging elevates the song) has a BIG impact on the final result, and Ireland definitely won biggest in this regard for this years Eurovision. Bambie Thug was low in the odds (and frankly, their national final performance was very underwhelming), and the rehearsals for Eurovision started and they skyrocketed! If you want to see other examples of stagings elevating a song that’s not necessarily BIG productions etc., it’s recommend France from this year, or France’s or Switzerland’s staging performance in Eurovision 2021. If you want to see some of the stagings that just… didn’t do it for the song, Poland this year is an example or UK in 2021. Also, just a note, Bambie Thug is non-binary and goes by they/them/fae pronouns - you probably didn’t know, and that’s fair :)

@@kenben800 it was simple, and talking about this year (and 2021 tbf), a strong vocal performance. I get that some people won’t like it - same as with Ireland this year for instance - but I still think it very well showcases how a staging can be made to elevate a song, where it’s more subtle. Of course, if the song (or stage) doesn’t appeal to someone, it’ll hardly change that. I just like how we get to see both those kinds of stagings and all types of music tbh - even if I don’t like all the songs haha

Do you want to know why part of the lyrics Bambie sings about Jewish I'm assuming you want the real answer instead of religious bias. The truth is Solomon was the biggest witch that ever existed, almost all magic from all religions some way link back to him. God actually gave Solomon permission to do witchcraft in Judaism (Talmud). God gave a ring to Solomon to control demons and speak to animals, one of those demons was Asmodeus. Solomon controlled and commanded Asmodeus help to build his temple. The truth is magic isn't necessarily evil or wrong, the Bible is full of contradictions in itself and in history. Despite mythology of it, magic might be and shouldn't be played with unless you are taking it very seriously and know exactly what you're doing. I think it is mostly misunderstood though. Prayer technically could be a form of magic, people do magic every day without realizing that they manifest their reality
I really liked Bambi Thug from the beginning, was a cool song. But her behaviour at the ESC has totally ruined my perception of her as an sincere artist. I really can't stand her now for all tha BS she showed.
