Pikachu sounds can be turned off (in the menu or manual override on the device) but 100% agree vibes and lights need an off button.

Bro thats my drama right there. I tried to leave my plus on overnight, but i found out quickly how invasive it really is and had to wrap it up in a pair of socks (worn twice) to muffle the vibrations and cut out the flashing. There really needs to be a full silent mode, a do not disturb function.

Hey Zoe, I believe the struggle with the plus identifying pokemon and how it works is actually connection problems within the game itself, I think that them listing the Plus+ has caused a few bugs, a lot of devices aren't working like they used to, so hopefully Niantic sorts out their bugs soon, great content!

whenever you pair/connect the device, you have to go into the settings and turn off/on the setting to detect pokemon. If you don't it wont recognize any pokemon at all

Yeah, that's what I've been doing to get it to work, but just toggling the options doesn't seem to work for me, but I've found unpairing and repairing gets it working just like before, whereas before though you just had to click on the pokeball to get it to reconnect, they just seem to be ironing out a few kinks, that's not to say the pluses aren't usable, I've still been able to use mine using the above method 👍

The biggest deal for me was that you could reconnect it without having to push the button on the device itself. Over time it became so annoying to stop every hour, to stop the flow outside to stand there for minutes trying to reconnect the device again.

The issue with the marerp is a similar issue iv had with the OG Go+. If the Go+ is in the middle of catching a mon and you catch it manually the go+ will get jealous and not catch anything for a few mins.

Heh, nice little "gotcha" water bottle message. Very sneaky and clever haha I love that we finally can use great and ultra balls but think its really dumb that those have to be done manually. Whats the point of having that option to toggle those choices on and off if you still have to do it manually, that doesnt make sense. It's a cool update but I'll probably wait until a 3rd party device comes out that is just a better version of this. Im currently using the gotcha evolve and its working just fine for now.

Pair. Go into setting. Turn off the switches and back on for the Pokémon and stops. It seems to fix it (temporarily)

I luckily pre-ordered mine, it’s what I’ve been waiting for Nintendo to finally deliver on, an auto catcher that does what the third party ones do. I’ve had issues before connecting third party auto catchers which is why I stopped using them, so an official Nintendo branded one that actually works with the game as intended is nice and with new features. Even though we had the Plus/pokeball Plus, this one is much better. The design is simple, I like the flat disk design and the auto catching during work was great, never needed to open my phone except to reconnect. I did add my own wrist strap and a USB-C dust plug to protect the connection port. Plus I’m getting a Crystal case to protect the body of the device. Overall I’m happy with it!

Do not trust this comment - plus will never catch "400 in two days". Autocatcher with red balls can't catch such amount even if you are walking and there are no connection problems - autocatcher miss 4 from 5. But if you are going to use blue/legend balls this is not a plus catching but you - just with fance button accessuare. Plus is only accessuare.

Since they updated for the new GO Plus +, I’ve been having issues with my PokeBall Plus not picking up spawns. What I did to fix it was that every time I restart the game, I unpair the PokeBall and then repair it and it starts picking up the spawn immediately.

The bugs apply to all devices. You have to turn your options off, and then turn them back on in the menu to get them to work after connecting your device. Also if they were going to copy someone else's features they should have taken the quick connect tied to both the button on the device and on the screen.

It definitely needs some updates. It will no auto catch or spin stops at times. The only work around is to disconnect by taping the poke ball icon and then turn off auto catch for both, then connect ball again and turn the auto catch features on... annoying niantic for 60 dollar device

I use one of those unmentionable third-party devices, and the main differences between my device and this one that I dislike are the size of the device (mine is smaller than my finger, super discreet) and the vibration that you can't turn off (also, discreet). I do like the ability to reconnect just through the app, without having to press a button on the device. If Niantic/Nintendo are open to feature requests: I would love to be able to set an auto-spinner to not spin stops I haven't spun before, and to not spin if my field research is full :D I've only caught one komala, but I'm in love. That little log twirl thing is super adorable

I think the pokemon have to be in the first circle to catch with the Go Plus +, the extended range will see, but not catch. Glad the Pokestops cover further.

maybe just a faulty device or bug but im having connection issues but not all the time. worked fine all day yesterday but today its bein a little inconsistent. Had to reconnect a few different times and auto hitting stops just stopped and i had to go back and take all settings off it and restart both app and plus and then it still sometimes wasnt workin. love the device and working properly its amazing. They fix the bugs and its 100% worth. you can have it indicate stops only and spin them auto if youre actually playing. town in car though you should auto catch or in raids auto catch works too.

It's like Alexa in the pocket while sleeping = very evil device with cute sounds that records whatever you say while sleeping. I don't think we need a 3rd party device to record sleep when we have our smartphone to do that. Auto catch and pokestop spin can be a in-built feature in the game other than using PkmnGo++ device.

New subscriber. You’re having all of the same glitches I am having with the device…not seeing Pokémon’s or not throwing the great/ultra balls manually. Very glitchy. It lets many of the typically stronger Pokémon escape. Anyway, still cool for giving my shoulder a break from spinning and catching low IV Pokémon. Yours is the best review so far. Thanks! The Mareep was a daily spawn. The Pokemon Go Plus Plus will not catch daily spawns only natural, incense, and lure spawns. This has been a known issue since the original Polemon Go Plus since they added the daily spawn feature after the pandemic.

I also found that it does pick up Pokémon before they show up on the screen and sometimes even try’s catching them before they even show haha. I also found it has more fled the catch. I noticed the Plus + has issues with Pokemon outside the main spawn circle. The spawns across the street from my house take a while to register for capture attempts. Also it just outright ignores some Gimmighoul from the coin bag, but not all of them. It's weird. I've been having issues with my game or maybe just my phone where it doesn't keep track of my GPS when it's in standby, which caused the Plus + to ignore all the stops on my way home from work today. I dunno if that's a wide spread thing or again just my phone. It is a cool device, I just hope they fix some of the minor issues that came with the launch of it.

Yeah I had to same problem a bunch of Pokemon just sitting there and my Pokemon plus plus just wouldn't pick any up but spinning all the pokie stop but couldn't pick up all the Pokemon around and then couple minutes later it just started working and doing really well but then shortly after started not catching again not sure what happening hope it is first days problems and they fix it up and the vibrations and lights are very annoying if they can fix some of them things that would be awesome, I think it will be really good once they work out the glitches and kinks

I like the plus + but it didn't sync my sleep last night to pogo, hopefully the reset i did fixes but seems like a great auto catcher especially if your out driving around it picks up some mons with out having to strap the go plus around the pokepall to hold it down. Plus snorlax with a sleepy cap will be great. Wish Komala was an Aussie only but atleast his in the game.

With my Go+ if i clicked on a pokemon and caught it, then the device was really reluctant/slow to identify anything else. Once it did however, it would go back to 'normal'.. until I caught one manually with auto catch still on. It made community day shiny hunting so annoying.

I do wish that there was a way to silence the gadget. I silenced Pikachu because my dog heard it too many times. After the fourth time his eyes got huge, he snarled at it, and then he tossed it. Vibration bothers him too. Going to need a protective case. It does catch and spin well but I hate all the step it takes to get it set up.

Looks like the sleep data can’t be synced to your account and a family members account on the same day. It might limit syncing the data to the first account the Plus+ pairs with after sleep. So, if sharing with fam or friends, you’ll have to finish your 7 days of sleep tracking, then lend it to them.

Hey Zoë, I got one. It’s awesome. Except. Every time the app crashes and I reconnect it to my iPhone. It won’t auto catch or spin anymore. And it won’t work either if I toggle the feature on and off. And don’t bother call ing nintendo support. There no help. And I still haven’t heard back from Niantic about it either. I sent them this issue two days ago. So not sure what to do next. go pluses have been acting weird since they made the changes that caused the spawn radius bug a few weeks ago. they literally only fixed the part of the bug that accidentally made the game fun and ignored all the other issues it caused

you have not picked up on radius yet, with last bug can still see further pokemon but doesn't mean an auto can get it, which isn't bad as can see some further stuff sometimes for me. this really noticed on spotlight hr, i can see a few pokemon still but auto cant catch them and they further away
