He’s so tiny! It’s amazing how much “size” the feathers give.

It really depends on the condition of the follicle. A vet would be able to tell best.

I really noticed the difference between training on a larger surface compared to a smaller they concentrate on you more on you when on smaller😂

I have two naked blue and gold macaws. Jessie and Oliver. Both my adorable girls are rescues. Jessie is originally from the LV cobweb crew bonded with Cowboy my Greenwing. I love my rescue kids. Nice to see one in your video. So many people overlook the naked ones. Beautiful to see this 😊

That's what I was thinking! I clicked because it was another parrot of the same type as Cheyenne with the same problem (which had me thinking of Snake Discovery from the jump). But as soon as I saw those green walls, I was thinking "That's Snake Discovery! They're filming at Snake Discovery!" 😃

To the owners of Zoey. Have you looked into hormonal issues causing the feather damage/plucking. Granted I only watched 15 minutes or so of Zoey… but I see a VERY hormonally charged bird. (And not all hormones mean sex)… just putting it out there

His new feathers will grow or not any tips on how to handle
@BirdTricks
@BirdTricks Ай бұрын
Only time will tell, and it depends on the condition of the follicle at this stage too which a vet would be able to evaluate best. For general plucking behaviors you want to increase humidity, use aloe in your spray baths, feed a healthy diet, offer frequent bathing opportunities and check the environment for any toxic items.

I tried to teach the spin trick to my Amazon. He ended up getting frustrated and lunged at me! And also made a horrific frustrated screech sound in the process! I think he was afraid of how the stick was placed vertically too. As an amazon he's easily overstimulated and excited, which can turn into aggression. He targets well but he just gets so impatient and easily frustrated. I'm too scared to attempt the spin trick again! Any pointers?

You could try teaching it with luring instead, where you simply hold a treat in your hand and you could even ask him from below the perch instead of above his head. So hold the treat downwards and deliver it to the side, a little further, then once the bird turns half way and then eventually all the way around. Luring takes more repetition but he can still learn it that way and not feel as hovered over from above.
