Day 12: A Rainy Adventure
We woke up early in Wakha, only to receive news that the roads would be closed after 11 AM. With a sense of urgency, we quickly got ready and hit the road. As we traveled, dark clouds seemed to follow us, casting a foreboding shadow over our journey.
Around 3 PM, we reached the vicinity of Zojila Pass and decided to take a short break. Just as we settled in, a heavy downpour began. We had no choice but to wait for two hours until the rain subsided. Once the storm passed, we pressed on, determined to cross Zojila Pass as quickly as possible.
Although the roads were challenging, the breathtaking mountain views made the journey worthwhile. As soon as we descended from the pass, the rain started again, forcing us to call it a day and find a place to rest.
