How/where did you store the cake overnight so it doesn't dry up or lose its taste?

Once the cake was fully cooled, I wrapped it tightly with cling film to store it overnight at room temperature. Frosted & decorated it the following day, then kept it refrigerated until I took it over to my sister’s house 😊
