Thats cuz the first op wasnt intended. They just didnt finish the op in time cuz they had a lot of problems with the broadcast and with the animators. Thats why the anime is in hiatus state right now

I can appreciate the choice of scenes to sync with the opening for the first episode (and others up to episode 8). But episode 9 onwards just feels so much more complete and elevated to the next level with the choreography!

Not denying that Japan has a horrible work environment But Zom 100 has some bomb animations. One of the reasons could be that they put most of their eggs into the show which I see makes sense Prioritize the show before the op

It could go both ways, but I think that most studios would do anything for the opening to get finished before the first episodes. Including reducing the quality or overworking the employees.

I love both intros but I do prefer the first one. People think zombies walking around and paint behind splashed on the background is boring but if you did pay attention, that scene shows the different types of zombies. Slow, aggressive, fast etc. The second version did made me laugh. It’s just so funny and I do love the dancing parts as well as when the zombies were using their phones on the train. For the ending, I prefer the first version. It shows the zombies chasing him and he’s happy. Even if it is a crisis, he finally has a break from work and is finally free. It shows how happy he is even though there’s a zombie apocalypse and it’s the kind of anime I’ve been wanting to see. I’m glad this exist and I give my thanks to the company that decided to make this master piece into an anime.

I saw version 2 at Anime NYC this year for the screening of the 10th episode. I loved how this guy next to me and everyone else started clapping to the song. I love this one in comparison to the first couple of episodes. It’s way better than thriller and coincidentally I recently lost my job

I showed my dad the show and he kept commenting on how dumb of decisions they were making. But the show is more about how you spend your life when you realize your mortality. It’s just in the most over the top, comedic way possible. I just really appreciate Akira’s unwavering pursuit of his own happiness. It’s a goofy show, but somehow it really resonates.

Eu ouvi dizer que a primeira versão é imcompleta, mas para mim, não é assim. Já que a primeira versão mostra algumas coisas, mas não te dão spoiler. E a segunda versão mostra tudo, como se fosse uma abertura de anime normal, mas no episódio que ela aparece, já sabemos de praticamente tudo que podia ser spoiler. Before finishing the anime i had no context as to why half of the openings until the ep 9 were a recap of the previous episode, stil as the episodes progressed and bits of the opening were changing to the final version i thought it was like the opening were "evolving" until it's final form. After learning the real reason, i still find it clever the way they did to work arround the production issues. And the fact that the clips of each recap were mostly the more relevant parts and that also fitted with the pace of the music shows that in spite of the problems, they still made an effort

When I first heard the opening I honestly think there was gonna be some dancing zombies and lo’ and behold once the opening was completed, THERE WERE DANCING ZOMBIES and I never felt so happy in my life that every time the opening comes on I’d dance to it. I just really hold this opening dearly to my heart and I find Tendou REALLY relatable in this new stage of my life. So yeah, one of my favourite anime and I’m glad the studio went all out with it.

I love the new opening! The truth is that the first one was quite... repetitive at times, because they only played some clips from chapter 1 and zombies walking or running. But the second opening has a lot of personality and goes with the song. I thought it was fascinating that they put the phrase "Memento mori" remember that you will die. It goes a lot with the theme of the series :D

I love version 2 so much It was interesting seeing the op evolve cause for a while it had the ep 1 op and then changed to just whatever happened last ep and put it in the op, now they finally have a full op that looks fantastic I always thought that middle part in ep 1 op looked plain. Its been mentioned before, but I think the only thing I miss from the first op is the last shot of Akira running from the zombies as they get ever closer, but he's having way too much fun to care. It's so foreboding and a powerful message of the world they live in still being wrought with peril. But in terms of the meaning of the series, op 2 simply nails it.

Anybody think version 1 is basically a "rushed" version? It's simpler. It has less differenct scenes and actually uses animation from episode 1. It seems like they are aiming to use version 2 since the beginning but didnt have enough time so they made the version 1 as a "lite" version to be used until they can finish version 2. This makes me think that there's supposed to be the "actual" version 2 or updated version of the OP as the anime progres

Both are GREAT on their own. The first Version is just a recap about the previous episode- but I love, how Akira is happily running away from them. The second Version is a masterpiece, it has personality. Its like, the Series was growing up and at Episode 9, its finally done 😂 I love this Anime so gawd damn much, it hurts❤😂
