Every company, every team needs different skillset. You can be the best Java developer but if a team needs a UI developer then they will reject you. Startups usually require better dev skills than the larger companies who have harder DSA questions

They were nicely twisted versions of standard ones. They weren't testing constructive algorithms or greedy. One question was on Graphs and one was on DP but the real game was not doing the standard problem, it was to reduce the problems to those standard problems.

Getting rejected is a part of this game. Rejection/selection isn't just based on your skills, it also involves a lot of other factors like the interviewer's outlook, your luck as well and overall if you have a bad day, no skills can help you.
