That means rural America has 126 rounds for every person on earth and just under 500 million guns to shoot that ammo out of and that number is just sales since we started counting in 1994. That is why in the zombie movies cities are overrun by flesh eating brain dead Democrats while the rural farmer is drinking a beer with his friends and going zombie hunting. Cities are filled with terrified screams, rural areas have “What a wonderful world,” playing from pickup trucks that are filled from our farm fuel tanks. Cities, even non zombies are resorting to cannibalism. Rural is kicking back eating fried chicken and corn bread. Cities are drinking their urine. Rural are complaining we had to reinstall the hand pump on the well but at least we get to tell our beautiful wives that we were right to hang onto all that stuff she called junk. Zombies in rural areas can’t hardly make it past the bear traps and barbed wire let alone Cletus who has been dropping deer at 500 yards since he was in pull-ups.

@@jeesperflipson8138 well unless you actually see them blow up/get incinerated, they can always come back for example in an episode of Smallvile Chloe’s (fun fact her actress was involved in a human trafficking case/scandal.) safe-house blows up after she enters it, but she shows up several episodes later completely or at the very least mostly unharmed (it’s been a while since I last watched the show). This is only possible since they never showed a death scene. Also even if you see a body they can still live via shenanigans, an example being Jason Todd who depending on the iteration was revived when Superboy Prime punched reality, via the Lazarus Pit or some mix of the two.

​@@w花b That's true, but my main issue is that pole hammers are originally anti-armor weapons which are inherently heavier than most weapons, he did choose a medium sized pole hammer so it's less heavy but if he wanted to rely on a piercing weapon with speed and range he could've just went for the age old spear, I think that's the best possible piercing weapon Although it's debatable if piercing weapons are the best choice, because blunt and slashing weapons have their own advantages

@@segbhfrdgthyb576 He's not relying on the armour penetration of just the spear, you misunderstand anti-armour weapons of medieval times- maces were anti-armour, hammers were anti-armour, axes were anti-armour (because the combination of weight, a smaller blade area, and a generally blunter blade allowed them to "slash" plate armour that swords struggled against). The spear is of the type designed for plate armour, yes, but it's not the main draw of the weapon. The whole appeal of the poleaxe is having a variety of strike options on one weapon, which is why many had interchangeable heads.

i dont know.. i think piercing weapons are some of the worst weapons to have in a zoombie apocalypse. cuz 1. they dont feel pain. 2. they can get stuck. 3. you would have to aim for the head which is a skull and its highly likely it can get stuck. 1v1 "might" not be a problem. add to that if you miss now your wide open and it will take sometime to reset. i really think the baseball bat is probably the best tool. or other blunt objects.

They certainly have a bunch of theoretical disadvantages to overcome but the apocalypse at the current point in the show has been going for YEARS. I think this weapon is a very poor choice. when you swing it towards a zombies head, it's going to get embedded into the skull. larger blunt weapons make more sense because you can keep swinging without ever getting stuck. sledgehammers, baseball bats, the classics.

depends on what zombies we are talking about, it they are living corpses, parasite, or a virus and how is it spreding ? particles in the air ? blood? or something else entierly are they slow roting walking corpses or fast and agile, how smart they are ? do they act as a hive mind ? do they walk alone or are they gathering into large hordes, and last: do not fight zombies unless its you're only option and you can't run away/ have to get in somewhere at all cost

@@goazer2 A bigger problem is that zombies don't exactly die easily... A poleaxe will get stuck and doesn't have enough weight behind it to really destroy any limbs. If we're allowing medieval weaponry then a polemace would be my preferred weapon. The range of the poleaxe, but a head far more suited for crushing legs and heads. It's also far less likely to get stuck in a heated situation. If we're disallowing medieval weaponry, any long ranged clubbing instrument would be ideal. Baseball bats, hurleys (if you're Irish) etc. If you just need to damage the brain slightly, then I'd just go with a spear/halberd.

It works if the zombies ain't running, if zombies are walking, trust me, worst case scenarios and all that how it starts, literally leaving a small population to defend themselves against zombies, the only weapon in abundance you need, is literally a hammer. Movies and shit makes zombies look like omg we are doomed, if you are stupid, yes, if you have few braincells, you realise it's only hard the first week. 1 person, 5' 7 100 pounds can kill up to 200 to 300 zombies in an hour, I'm not even worried. Group up 10 to 20 guys, homemade armor with paper, weapons, mace, hammer plastic shields, can wipe out 200 - 300 in 10 minutes. The only real threat are people, and wild animals.

It really depends why they are zombies in the first case, but if you will destroy brain of the zombie, hammer is probably inside of the head and theres high chance it can get stuck and if you fight more than one zombie you won't have time to pull it out. However it would be really reasonable to make makeshift armor (for example from paper, like in train to busan).
