i was thinking this! since they're playing in minecraft, the game could use a few more visual indicators, such as a "real" execution after voting, (they could get thrown off the clocktower!) and ghosts could drink invisibility potions or perhaps be the only players in all-black or all-white armor? (iron or netherite armor with the silence trim in netherite would be absurdly expensive, especially since there'd be multiple sets required, but would be a really cool option to indicate dead players!) i really liked cleo's use of heads to show someone being out of votes, so leaning into things like that would be great!!

A few cosmetic ideas for this game: Maybe you could create a pit in the middle of the circle with a trap door. Whenever someone is executed (and dies), they drop through the trap door. Dead players could wear white leather armor, to more easily identify them as ghosts. When rotating to count votes, you might want to punch the air every time you register the vote or lack thereof of a player, so it's clear at which position in the circle you currently are.

Watching this game from your perspective I'm really seeing how Cub's early poisoning really set the stage for this entire game. Plus, him withholding the vote to the last turn really secured them that win. All Impulse needed to do was to not draw suspicion to himself until the final three which he did masterfully. The moment people threw accusations against him, he practically already won. Very clean game from the Imp team, ngl. (Also I'm with Ren that someone should literally die in the vote, purely for entertainment purposes 😂)

The last choice where the good guys could have won, was when xisuma had to choose whether to favor executing impulse. If he had chosen to execute, impulse still could have nominated someone who could have gotten three votes,... maybe. But Xisumas choice was crucial for a win.

@nielskorpel8860 True. But iskall was also convinced at the last second, because in his words, "in the slim chance impulse isn't lying", so X voting too would not have influenced that. He was going for the tie either way if impulse would have kept the same performance up to that moment and still convinced iskall. So it's not only that X should have voted but also if iskall didn't vote in the last second. The chances were very slim for the good team. Impulse really put them in a tight rope on those last votes.

I thought Iskall was convinced to vote so only because he realised it didn't matter anymore? Maybe I have that wrong. But if that was the case, then Xisumas choice would have impacted iskall, making it less likely he'd vote against Xisuma. Although the arguments could have been different as Impulse would have tried to convince Iskall anyway. I'd say we can't compute what would have happened in that branch.

My assumption is that in his panic, he didn't realise Cub also voted and already secured the tie or he knew cub voted but didn't think of the maths in his panic. So he gave his vote in haste.

that and it's obvious that xizuma had by far the least experience playing a game like this vs impulse who has had by far the most experience due to his among us hours. as somebody who used to play town of salem which is very similar to this, i would most definitely try to keep the newer player alive to the end since they would be the easiest person to get eliminated at the end game. it might be a more ruthless strategy but it's pretty effective to use

True, but the problem for X was, if he's a noob among sharks, and he got the imp role, wouldn't it have looked a lot like this? The main dif I see would have been he might have been more active as he would have been more in touch with Cleo the GM during the game and might have calmed down a bit more and made some plays. Imp did a fabulous job as the imp tho, and Cub for the win at the end with playing his vote at the perfect time.

From watching impulse's perspective, I definitely think that next time you run this you should definitely clarify how voting actually works. It definitely seemed like multiple people thought that they were supposed to choose to flip their light specifically AS you were looking at them rather than before.

A bit of redstone could help there, have a lever in the middle that lock repeaters. So instead of a lever powering the light directly it would do so through a 1-tick repeater, then the storyteller flips the lever in the middle and after that count the votes. It's not necessary to do it that way, but it'd help reinforce that the vote can't be changed at a certain point.

The way I learnt the rules was through the series on the channel No Rolls Barred! The first video, some of the players have never played before, so it still has the feel of that first-time experience, and they also have the chief storyteller of the company that made the game to explain the rules, so it all is very well laid out. Plus, it's a load of fun and hours of content to sink your teeth into! P.S. I've made several of these comments about NRB but I'm not a bot, just a super fan who genuinely thinks that it's the single best way to experience the game. I'm just so glad that more people are discovering this game, outside of the little bubble it existed in.

I watched this first from Impulse's perspective and was very confused about what happened with xB. I couldn't figure out why poor, confused Xisuma insisted xB had said he was the undertaker. Iskall played this MASTERFULLY. He knows it's a game and a social deduction game and he went in blazing. He knew the game wouldn't go anywhere without accusations so he made them. Absolute top-tier plays from Iskall, it's so much harder to play good Town than it is good Evil.

It would be hard, if not impossible, for them to interact with the livestream during a game though. Unlike among us you really need to focus on the interactions, and you *know* someone would try to cheat to "help" their favourite streamer and give away who is who. So it'd just be an unedited video in comparison to a normal stream.

This game was so awesome - Impulse’s Among Us experience coming in super clutch at the end there…. and Gem eventually catching on to that and emphatically being correct but no-one quite believing was comedy gold lol. Can’t wait to see another round with more of the Among Us pros thrown in like Etho, Tango, BDubs, Grian, Pearl & Scar…… the outlandish tales that will be told will be hilarious. I imagine if Mumbo played he’d be confused and a bit erratic like an Xisuma/Ren mix. Scar would probably need a speech timer 😂

Fun game! But sooo much information! I would need checklists for each format; circle/vote/execution, night info/action, etc. A count down timer, maybe turning off lamps as time goes by, ending with bells going off, could be fun, and take one item off the GM’s task list. Ask one of the redstone lovers for that. It could be built around the tower top, or up one corner, or similar, for all to be able to see and check.

I've always known I'd be dreadful at games like this, though I love watching other people play them. Having now seen Impulse's video, and Cleo's, which is almost a behind the scenes POV, I'd love to see it from Xisuma's side to find out just what was going through his mind😂 Such a good game, made even better by such a diverse group of players. I look forward to maybe seeing more😊

This is pure speculation, but I think Xisuma's "confusion" and quietness was less about being confused and more about having an innate moral code about never lying. And it looked like this game was pushing the boundaries of his own moral code. Again.. speculation, but this is what it looked like. I might be way off base here, but knowing what I do about X, it seems plausible.

I laid out pretty much every possible combination of what would happen. If you're talking about 'You won't win if you don't execute somebody' That's pretty much generically true, if you don't execute you get no information.

Just making sure you know that this isn't only Cleo's game! It's an independent game, but she is the first person (to my knowledge) that has played it in minecraft. It's made by the Pandemonium Institute, and other people have played it, so if you want extra content for this game, I highly recommend the many tens of hours of content on this game put out by No Rolls Barred! They actually have the primary storyteller in the Pandemonium Institute, so it makes the game quite easy to understand. It's always a blast, and there is loads of content to chew on, so give it a go!

THIS. WAS. AWESOME!!! Cleo, I am so happy you were able to pull this off! I was entertained the entire time. Iskall & Ren stating that Impulse was very experienced at Among Us was so true it hurt when Iskall let go of his conviction right at the end, allowing the evil team to win. xD Plus Ren constantly saying that Xisuma never knows what’s going on and is panicking so he can’t be the demon was so funny. I hope X didn’t take offence to that. It’s an endearing quality because he tries his best to be good at the game but him just being so silent not trusting anybody making everyone suspicious of him when he just didn’t quite understand how to play the game was adorable. I would love to see Xisuma play Among Us. As the crew he would be so sus every time. And as the Imposter he’d be figured out in the second round of voting. 1st, if Etho and/or Grian were playing lol Impulse did really well and I’m going to watch his episode next. I think Gem did great with her little time she had alive. Ahhh, I would love to see her in the Demon or Minion role. Iskall played SO well throughout. I can’t imagine him not being in the game. I’m so happy it coincided with his return to the server as obviously this will get seen by everyone else’s fans who were in the game. You did such an amazing job. I wasn’t put off by the mistakes at all; I enjoyed the way you used text to help describe the issues and how you fixed it. I really hope this gets played again a couple more times at least. Congrats on one of the best games this season!!

This is amazing, Cleo. Love seeing lots of Hermits coming together and bonding like this, having their interactions. Tango's got these in Decked Out 2, but they only happen between games. For this, it is the entire game.
