I'm picturing some necramorph-style ambulation for the different zombie parts. I can't wait to use this on my players.

My players were new to 5E, and they didn't know about the standard zombie's save to avoid dropping to 0hp. I modified it on the fly - they drop when you take them to 0, but if they make the save, they get back up on their next turn and start coming after you again. Spooked them right out, and they're now adopting that for their own campaigns.

Great idea. I think I'll take that myself!

Ravenloft is a haunted biome from dwarf fortress. You skin an animal and it's skin inchworms across the floor to attack you.

It's a good thing I always made a habit of burning zombie corpses whenever I play D&D

Ooooo. I love the idea of a Lich or undead spellcaster being inside the Zombie Clot and piloting it like an undead mech. Maybe the party fights them in a Warforged Titan or colosus

In my first D&D game, we ended up in Ravenloft and my DM got us to the point where just feeling someone's hand on our shoulder had us all jumping. It was amazing.

Zombies are the best. Night of the walking dead, one of the original ravenloft adventures is one of my favourites. Can't wait to frighten people again with it!

Wait...I thought the new Ravenloft book had a disclaimer in it somewhere about not scaring/triggering your players? Or is that just Internet rumor?
@soulcrow76513 жыл бұрын
Its there. Multiple reviews have made mention of having a conversation with your players first to make sure they wont be too uncomfortable🙄

@@dm_curt on the one hand I understand why they do it and I hope it has longevity. On the other hand people need to challenge themselves and not seek the comfort of a trigger warning filled bubble wrapped existence.

Book of Vile Darkness had one too. It’s to make sure you get players/parents are content warned. Kids play D&D too.

For my campaign, they are not just zombies, they are contagious too, so if my players drop to negative hps they need to overcome a saving throw equal to their formula to survive lethal damage (5+damage received) to avoid becoming one... Of course my zombie monsters give a little more xp than the regular ones

So, Todd, not sure if you're aware of this yet, but you (or your editor) spelled Meagan's name wrong in your intro.

This is the content I prefer ^^ So, basically, ending up inside the Zombie Clot means you die by very low grit sandpaper?
