Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner US Intro

The intro from the US version of the Playstation 2 game Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner. This game was directed by Hideo Kojima (the director of the Metal Gear Solid series) and made by the MGS team.
This is pretty much my favorite videogame intro of all time as well as one of my favorite games of all time.

hands down this game has the best flying combat engine ive ever had the pleasure of enjoying , dam it was awesome using Jehuty to kill swarms of enemies that orbital frame handels like a dream

Oh my god the memories ;_;.. Thanks Kojima for one of the best games out there. Story, atmosphere, combat system, art style and the ost, oh god the ost. I am currently replaying this via pcsx 2 at 720p on my PC and it is even better than I remembered :)

Hideo Kojima (creator of Z.O.E.) said that he wants to do a third Zone of the Enders and he knows in his heart he'll eventually make a sequel but there were other things that took priority over it at the time, such as Metal Gear Solid 4.

My favorite mecha game of all time. My only complaint is that it is a bit short, though being able to play as the different characters and their machines would have added a lot to it.

I may have some good news for you guys. Hideo Kojima didn't go to E3 this year. So one game journalist managed to get an interview with him . While there, he showed the 2 HD collections as well as the new FOX Engine which will be used in their next unnanounced game which they are in the planning stages of. I have a feeling its ZOE3. They said they couldn't make it a year or 2 ago because of the various MGS games. Now that 1 is out (MGS: Peace Walker) and another is almost out, its possible.

Well, I thought that Kojima was working on a new ZOE game, but it turned out he was working on a new MGS. And Raiden seems to be the main focus depending on Kojima's keynote from GDC09. ZOE2 is by far the best mecha game ever made, if not the only one that is actually good.

I just got ZoE 1&2 on ebay for 50, its an old game, but its VERY rare, gamespot put ZoE 2 on the top 10 hardest to find PS2 games, definitly worthit IMO tho, these kind of games last the ages.

Cheap is gonna be hard. The game goes for over $100 on Ebay. It is actually pretty rare. My brother managed to find it in a Gamestop for about $20 though.

Easily- I FIRMLY regret having sold my PS2 a while back, even if I did need a little extra cash. My games went with it, this one included. With the PS2 singing its swan song, I've bought a used PS2 Slim and am slowly but surely purchasing the games I always wanted to play but couldn't afford- this will soon be part of my collection yet again! :D

What scares me is that such a good series like Zone of The Enders is left in the hands of the incompetence of Konami (the people who are 2nd only to George Lucas in being able to ruin and unruinable franchase). I'm worried that the "high speed robot action" or ZOE will become as empty to Konami as "tactical espionage action".

I have to agree That is the best game intro ever and its better than those Gundam games on these next Gen consoles If I had a choice between a orbital frame or a Gundam I would go with a orbital frame unless my Gundam had a Partical cannon and was named Wing ZERO HA HA

maybe because the first game was not so good it gave kojima more time to plan and design the game, when too much hype is form around a game its sequels usually don't live up to it cause the people behind are pushed by deadlines and companies that only want to make money, hope kojima can deliver a great 3rd part, since he has all this years to make it...

it's a playstation 2 game , 3D wouldn't be able to have such detailed "stories" , i think it's perfect that way :] but on playstation 3 or a comp , it's another story .

The first game was amazing, the sequel was so riddled with glitches that most boss fights were just cheese factor and luck; it sucked. ZotE#2 so ruined my enjoyment of #1, that I traded them both in.

Kojima create 2 beautiful game, Metal Gear Solid 2 to 3 and ZOE 1 and 2. both game still consider the best out of maximize the power of the PS2. Image create ZOE 3, we properly saying thanks to kojima and hopeful not making xbox360 version.

well, i not complain if they make xbox360 but they still can't make a decent game like MGS 2&3 or ZOE 1&2 back when the first Xbox came out. Most of us know their graphic limit of xbox is far better than PS2 but in the end, they can't make the game decent enough to say is better than PS2. Microsoft won't even upgrade their xbox360 to blu-ray that may help better the game quality. Most PS3 owners is angry because most games that made for multi version has to follow the lacking 360.
