Good clear explanation of the solo rules. Loved the little intro music too

This game definitely looks like a hidden gem. 3' by 3' seems a bit on the large side for such a low model count though - maybe to avoid melee characters being overpowered?

@quentinguichard5423 You could certainly experiment with different board sizes. I've played plenty of two-player, 3 characters-a-side games and it does take a few rounds to get into melee. Once it starts, it can be deadly. For me, objectives that bring opposing groups together are important for an engaging game.

What's the usual number of models per side in a game? 3? or is that just a reall small game?
@The.Game.Cave.2 ай бұрын
3 is standard for lots of scenarios. It's really up to you, though - if you want to use four or five characters, you just need to give the AI (or human opponent) the same number. Easy! 😊

Still waiting on my games, but, from what I've seen elsewhere, when you pick up an Objective Token and draw an Artifact Card you place the Objective Token on that Artifact Card so you know which cards count towards Victory Points. Or did that rule change?
@The.Game.Cave.Ай бұрын
You are right - the rules say that you should place the artefact token on the card to distinguish it from starting gear. We've found during our games, though, that this isn't vital as it's easy enough to keep track of 'treasure' anyway. With a campaign game - where characters might start a game with previously recovered artefacts - I would use this rule.

How does LOS work in this game? Is it 2D style or True Line of Sight (3D look from behind the model at your target?
@The.Game.Cave.2 ай бұрын
@@voltage2773 Good question! You use true LOS. If a model is partially obscured by terrain, they gain two Gear dice (black) against an incoming attack. If they are touching the terrain that obscures the shot, this increases to 4 dice. This is only against ranged attacks - not melee. Cover also offers no protection against area effects. I hope that helps. 😊

Yes it does help thanks. Appreciate your video explaining this game. I ordered the core and expansion. Not a fan of true line of sight, I prefer 2D line of sight. But the game looks too fun to pass up. 😅
@The.Game.Cave.2 ай бұрын
@@voltage2773 It is a fun game - and because the cover rules are very straight forward, true LOS is less of a faff than usual.
