Hey Guys, love the channel, love the work ya'll are doing with the ballplayers. I've probably watched every video you have either here or on tiktok. I'm a 10u coach, played high level ball my whole life, high school coach was old school last of a dying breed type that used a lot of the same language ya'll use and techniques ya'll teach. College coach was the same. Also played 12 years of highly competitive Men's Fastpitch Softball. I really enjoy teaching these techniques because I feel like it simplifies the game for every player that actually picks it up and applies what they've learned. I have a request, if that's ok. Can ya'll provide a couple of videos with full defensive and offensive practice plans on an outdoor field, how ya'll might break into stations, stations you might use , what live BP looks like and what the other kids at the age would be doing. I'm also an elementary school P.E. teacher and hate for the boys to stand around waiting in lines watching the other players work so planning out practice and making sure they are all working and getting reps is a huge deal to me. Being able to send a video like that to my assistant coaches or dad's that help out would be an awesome way to explain before we even get to practice what everything would look like. If you can't I understand but the answer is always NO if you never ask the question. Again, thanks and I appreciate ya'll. Awesome Work -Drew

QUESTION … for the right /left drill does this change if the SS,2B/3B is Left handed. Should they lead with the opposite foot they way it was explained for 1B?
@bcdm999 Жыл бұрын
They've still got to throw to first base, so they need to shuffle right to start. Depending on skill level, they then either have to take an extra right step underneath to get into position to throw, or they catch the ball on the backhand timed with their right foot, and take a two-step throw from there. (This is why we always get shoved to first base instead 😂)

This is for 5/6 year Olds. It is useful all the way to middle school. These are basics so the muscle memory is created.

Funny enough on my first day coaching I taught my kids the Alligator, but without the name.
