This song needs to get redone next May. It's so unique in your catalog and is one of most sorrowful (in a good way) and emotionally charged covers I've heard on all of KZbin. Seriously, I teared up the first few times.

Star Fox 64's soundtrack is really underrated. Sure it might not be as catchy as Star Fox on SNES, but come on; Zoness, Area 6, Sector X and Star Wolf theme are genious songs. Which reminds me, Star Wolf theme cover would be awesome!

The first ones soundtrack has a lot more than the internet gives it credit for, most people say Corneria, Space Armada and maybe boss titania. Fortuna, Titania, Boss Slot Machine. Macbeth, Venom Highway and boss venom are awesome Star fox 64 is my favorite game of all time. But I think the first one's ost is better. Although 64's soundtrack is not without merit. Zoness, Bolse, Area 6 and Star Wolf (along with the boss themes) are classics

Absolutely phenomenal. Well done!! I played StarFox 64 as a 16 year old. The Zoness score captivated me so much that 26 years later I went looking for it, and I found this. From one Nintendo fan to another, thank you GaMetal, your rendition of Zoness captures the original score perfectly and adds an emotional human touch that amplifies the nostalgia. Keep it up folks and god bless.

Wow your soft covers are just as epic as the heavy ones, though obviously it's a different kind of epic. I bet you would do really well with some of the softer Chrono Trigger songs like Secret of the Forest or Corridors of Time.

At the Bottom of the Night is another great soft song from Chrono Trigger. It's kind of like THE soft song from that game for me. Secret of the Forest and Corridors are great too. Schala's Theme and Singing Mountain are fantastic as well. Although Chrono Trigger's soundtrack is amazing in general. I think Jonny already covered Magus' theme a long while back, but probably the only real way to do that soundtrack justice would be to do a medley or something. Too many good songs

I know this is an old video by now, but after listening to this on the GaMetal VI Album, I was wracking my brain to figure out where it came from. It almost sounds like Chrono Trigger in so many places it's unreal. I remember Zoness' theme being calm but never noticed how good it actually was. Also, great job, Sir Atma. Someone should really hire you to make video game themes, you capture what makes them good.

This track takes a completely different approach compared to the others in Star-Fox 64. Most of the stage themes have a hype theme for either danger, or Star-Fox heading in to clean up the garbage, Triumphant themes for the victory potential of Corneria, or fear for the looming threat of Venom's invasion... Then, there's a Zoness.... a planet, that used to be clean, and vibrant; but when Venom took it over, and had an accident; they polluted the planet beyond recognition... a reminder of the damage and threat they pose to every planet in the area... destruction of a full planet scale... and they continue using it as a base of operations despite essentially destroying it, and mutating the wildlife. Zoness' theme sounds more somber, tragic... depressing, to reflect the state the world is in.

Amazing stuff as always! I've been gone for too long. Kinda funny how you did a soft song now since I had been meaning to request a soft song in the Coin Song from FF VI for some time now. I think you could do some cool stuff with that one. Although you also just did the Decisive Battle so its probably too soon for another FF VI song, and for another soft song xD I've been following you for years now (first thing i remember listening to from you was the FF Battle Medley) but I don't think I've ever posted a request or suggestion before outside of the Sonic and NES Medleys...hmm. I might make my first real suggestion later. Maybe a medley of the King K.Rool boss themes from DKC 1-3? I know Gangplank Galleon seems to be requested a lot but all three of the songs just seem perfect to be rendered in the mighty GaMetal manner. Idk. Looking forward to the next song though!

Hey, Jonny! Think you could consider doing the Super Smash Flash 2 main theme? It's a pretty great Smash fangame. 'Bout as good as Smash fangames get. Of course, if you'd prefer to do the main theme of the real thing (SSBU), I'd be totally down with that.

For the first rise to the big climactic part of the song I expected it to be a big, great, loud explosion of beautiful rhythms with the nice tubas (percussion?) playing in the background (in this case I think it was percussion playing that part, which is not a problem by any means). But instead I got silence and a very soft piano part. Needless to say I didn't like it at all. But the part at 1:58 (the next rise) I absolutely loved because it really felt like a perfect climax to the theme.... but the next rises I didn't like, because even though they were like the second rise, it was a bit slower and that kinda ruined it for me. Now I know your job isn't to just replace instruments from other songs and call it a remix, but I know that you need to change some things about a song/theme to truly call it a remix. But I don't like the way you handled this one, because to me, I felt like you took away the best parts of the theme and tried to make it too symphonic or "beautiful". In my opinion, Zoness does sound symphonic at first, but it also has the action and exciting part of the theme that you know is coming, and it makes you feel like you can't wait to hear that beautiful (and exciting) part of the music.
@EmperorZephyr10 жыл бұрын
As one of my favorite critics once said "Variety is the spice of life, and repetition is the Starch". By making the rock-heavy climax come later, it created a much stronger buildup and thus made said climax much more satisfying.
@Lebon1910 жыл бұрын
***** I totally agree! It just sounds AMAZING. I also agree with more variety. It was a nice change of pace.
